In Chomu, a new controversy has emerged at Kalandari Mosque. It is alleged that a police constable named Sangam threatened to remove the Announcement Mike during prayers and tried to stop the namaz.

According to worshippers, the constable entered the mosque premises wearing shoes, attempted to remove the carpets, and allegedly behaved rudely while threatening to send people to jail. A video of the incident is said to be circulating on social media.

The Kalandari Mosque had previously been at the center of controversies as well, which had already raised several questions about the role of the administration.

Many people are now questioning what they see as a troubling trend: entering mosques and claiming that nearby residents are being disturbed by the prayers.

Some are asking whether the spirit of the Constitution of India which guarantees religious freedom still holds the same value in such situations.
