This story is heartbreaking.
This man disappeared in 2007 when he was only 14 years old after going out to play with his friends, as he usually did.
For weeks and months, his family searched for him everywhere. They visited hospitals, police stations, and even morgues, but they could not find a single clue about his whereabouts.
Eventually, after spending a great deal of money on the search and even selling their land and other property, his parents lost hope and concluded that their son had died. Tragically, both parents later passed away due to the stress and grief caused by his disappearance.
Years went by without any news of him.
Then, in 2025 almost 18 years after he vanished his brother received a call informing him that his missing sibling had been found in a correctional facility in Rivers State.
What was shocking was that he had reportedly been detained there for all those 18 years without any clear explanation. When inquiries were made about why he was imprisoned, it was discovered that there was no court case against him, no charge sheet, and no record of any crime he had been accused of committing.
Even more disturbing, he had lost his mental stability. He could no longer recognize his brother, could not remember how he ended up in prison, and showed clear signs of mental illness.
And one cannot help but wonder: how many other people are still languishing in prisons, suffering similar injustice, with no one aware of what they are going through?🥲

I rarely comment on what is not my business. But as the Representative of Kaduna North, the affairs of the state regardless of my political affiliation is my business. I would like to publicly commend and acknowledge an affable and decent young politician that has helped many vulnerable people in Kaduna North, Hon. Abdulazeez Kaka, @Abunaah. Regardless of anyone’s personal feelings towards him, he has carried out numerous initiatives that have benefitted some of the most vulnerable members of our Kaduna North. His skill acquisition programs targeting young women stands out the most for me. And I am sincerely proud of him. These acts have eased the burden on me as the elected Representative of Kaduna North and I have always told him this. God knows best, but remember that you embody the courage and boldness that is rising among many young people in Nigeria. We are proud of you. No one that supports us should ever publicly or privately mock his efforts. As God is my witness, I do not accept it. I end with this quote.

Someone should write a book about the current sarauta practices and how they deviate with true islamic practices. If it already exists, kindly suggest.
While Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON was in Abuja today evening, we heard about the emergence of a coronation which is called a "consensus" for all the elective positions in Gombe State.
Legally, there can be no valid consensus without involving the aspirants who have obtained or completed their expression of interest and nomination forms.
We advise all our supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. However, the total disregard for the provisions of the law cannot be ignored by us.
The Nigeria Electoral Act, 2026, outlines the modes of nomination in Section 84 (2):
Political parties are restricted to only two methods for selecting candidates in which coronation is not among them. The two methods are:
1) Consensus: A candidate may emerge if all cleared aspirants provide written consent to step down. If even one aspirant refuses, the party must revert to a direct primary.
2) Direct Primaries: Every registered party member has the right to vote directly for their preferred aspirant.
The action is completely contrary to the provisions of the law, the directive of the National Party, and the instruction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
We urge our supporters to get ready for direct primaries after addressing major challenges in the APC database in the state. Our legal team is also working on addressing the challenges and observations.
