SECURITY VOTES ARE NOT GOVERNORS' PERSONAL ASSETS
Insecurity is too sacred a subject to be dragged into the murky stage of partisan quarrels. It is a wound on the nation's flesh, and people of conscience must never turn such pain into political merchandise.
Our brothers and sisters languishing in captivity are not material for campaign nuggets. Their tears should never become fuel for anyone's political engine, nor should their suffering be converted into electoral capital.
Clergymen, as custodians of truth and shepherds of souls, must strive to understand the complexities of insecurity before surrendering to emotion. Men of God who do not first interrogate the architecture of insecurity before opening their mouths risk becoming beautiful voices delivering dangerous ignorance. And Father Mbaka sets a good example others should learn to follow.
If governors receive security votes - and today in unprecedented volumes - then the nation must begin asking the questions that matter rather than assuming there is an El-Shaddai in Aso Rock who must absorb every arrow and carry every cross.
How effectively have state governors collaborated with the Federal Government and the security agencies operating within their domains? What tangible support has been provided with the billions allocated monthly in the name of security?
Security votes are not Governors' personal assets. They are not meant for luxury shopping, girlfriends' allowances, private estates, children's school fees, exotic vacations, spouses' travel packages, mass weddings, political patronage, or other decorative extravagances. The goat entrusted for sacrifice must not become dinner for the priest.
Security votes exist for one purpose: confronting insecurity and protecting lives.
The time has come to open the books.
How far?
In a federal system, insecurity is everybody's business. The Federal Government has a role. The states have a role. The local governments have a role. When the roof is on fire, every hand must carry water.
Every layer of government must tighten its belt, buckle its armour, and treat insecurity as the collective emergency that it truly is.
In this season of noise, we must salute Father Mbaka for choosing enlightenment over emotion and for approaching a matter of grave national importance with the seriousness it deserves.

PRAYER TIMES NIGERIA ( PRAYER TIMES APP) BY SIMWAL JIBRIL
We are proud to announce the launch of Nigeria’s first indigenous prayer app based on the Maliki school of thought — built specifically for Muslims across the country.
Designed with precision and authenticity, this app provides accurate prayer times for all the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, calculated according to the Maliki fiqh. Whether you are in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, or any remote town, you can rely on correct timings tailored to your exact location.
Even without internet access, the app continues to function seamlessly with its offline prayer time calculation feature, ensuring you never miss your salah wherever you are. With smart location detection, it automatically identifies your position and delivers precise prayer times instantly.
Importantly, the Hijri date in the app is not fixed. It is designed to be adjustable to align with the officially declared date following the sighting of the new crescent and the announcement of the Sultan, ensuring conformity with recognized religious authority in Nigeria.
This milestone would not have been possible without the expertise and dedication of Orygin Solutions @oryginOS , who partnered in developing and bringing this vision to life. Their technical excellence and commitment to innovation helped make this app a reality.
This is more than just a prayer time app — it is a locally built solution for Nigerian Muslims, rooted in our jurisprudential tradition and powered by reliable technology.

You are well grounded in ignorance. As a result, it is no surprise that you contradict yourself even when it is apparent. Does custodian of the two holy mosques translate to being the custodian of Islam? If location of two holy mosques translates to being custodian of Islam then what do you call Palestine being the custodian of the third holy mosques? What do you make of Bani Israeela, and Eygpt which has given rise to many Prophets of Allah? Learn, unlearn and Relearn. Seek knowledge as it is as fundamental as the air you breathe

WITH CITIZENS LIKE “LET’S BEAT DOG” - NIGERIA NEEDS NO ENEMIES
There exists a peculiar strain of madness that afflicts certain people - not the kind that strips them naked in the streets, but the subtler, more dangerous sort that blinds the mind. A madness that trains its host to see only rot in their own land, to sniff disaster where none was brewed, and to extract venom from tragedy as though cruelty were a civic duty.
AJ’s situation, tragic as it is, was not authored by bad roads. The unfortunate passing of his friends, from all credible accounts, was not scripted by a failed response system. Yet because Nigerians refuse to elect your mediocre toilet cleaner into power, you choose to feast on another man’s grief, to season tragedy with mockery, and to baptize misfortune with politics.

Icons. Legends. Royals. Entertainers. Athletes. Influencers. Men and women who lived in countries with first-world roads, pristine emergency systems, and infrastructures of global reckoning - yet fate still met them on highways, in metal, in fire, in silence. Because déãt, it turns out, is not a Nigerian citizen, and Misfortune does not carry a green passport.
At almost sixty, Aja, there are nobler virtues you should bequeath your offspring - grace, restraint, empathy. Not this crude inheritance of bitterness, this craft of extracting joy from another man’s sorrow. These are not heirlooms worth passing down.
You have lived long enough in Lagos to have learned love, to have absorbed sensitivity, to have imbibed the quiet wisdom of the Yorubas - even if such virtues were scarce commodities at home.
Alas, geography does not sculpt the soul. Location does not dictate the state of the mind. Purity and perversity alike are not inherited from soil or skyline, but from blood, from creed, from the inner constitution of a man.
And some, sadly, are born into hatred and raised on bitterness - nurtured on resentment until cruelty becomes instinctive, until malice flows through them as effortlessly as breath.
For such people, empathy is foreign, compassion is weakness, and another man’s pain is merely an opportunity to gloat.
Not all who walk among us are shaped by learning; some are simply perfected by spite.
At this instructive juncture - Good Morning Severally...
In the heart of a sun-drenched, open expanse of land.
Children in their vibrant energy engage in various activities of play.
A young woman, Elizabeth casually holding a soccer ball, moves with a relaxed grace, and sheer Steeze amidst the lively children.
Then appears the Santa in his customary crimson red, and white beards signaling an unexpected drama about to unfold.
The energy in the ambience settled immediately. With a sudden, almost imperceptible shift, Elizabeth transforms into Jadrolita - a sleek, powerful cyborg, with strength of steel and precision of a laser.
The confrontation is instantaneous and bewildering: the clash of human and machine ensues.
Blows upon blows descended and fists intertwining in attack and defense.
Alas! The red suited man falls and dust rises.
The gift detonated and erupts with seasons greetings.
The cyborg drove away into the horizon, leaving behind a cloud of dust and an important lesson.
Be careful of whomever you accept gift from, and always protect your children and households.
