ރާއްޖޭގައި ސްކައުޓް ޚިދުމަތް ފެށްޓެވުމުގައި އިސްނެންގެވި ލީޑަރުންނަށާއި، މިދިޔަ 70 އަހަރުގެ ތެރޭގައި މި ހަރަކާތް ދެމެހެއްޓުމުގައި ބައިވެރިވި ހުރިހާ ސްކައުޓުންނަށް މަރްޙަބާއާއި ޝުކުރާއި ސާބަސް މި އުފާވެރި އަހަރީ މުނާސަބަތުގައި އަޅުގަނޑު ދަންނަވަނީ، ޤައުމު ގޮވައިލި ކޮންމެ ވަގުތަކު ސްކައުޓުންވީ ޤުރުބާނީއާއި، މުޤާބިލުގައި އެއްވެސް އުޖޫރައެއް ބަދަލެއް ހޯދުމެއްނެތި ދަރުމައަށް ކޮށްދެމުންދާ ގިނަގުނަ ޚިދުމަތުގެ އަގު ވަޒަންކުރަމުން.
ސްކައުޓް ހަރަކާތަކީ ރައްޔިތުންގެ އިތުބާރާއި އިޙްތިރާމް ލިބިފައިވާ، ޤައުމު ފަޚުރުވެރިވާ ޚިދުމަތެއް. އަދި ރާއްޖޭގައި އޮތް އެންމެ ޒަމާންވީ، މުޅި ރާއްޖެއަށް އެންމެ ފުޅާކޮށް ފެތުރިފައިވާ އެންމެބޮޑު ވޮލަންޓްރީ ހަރަކާތްވެސްމެ.
ދިވެހީންނަށް މުހިންމު އެތައް ހުނަރަކާއި ރީތި އާދަތަކެއް ސްކައުޓް ހަރަކާތުންވަނީ އުނގަންނައިދީފައި. ހަރުދަނާ ދަރިންތަކެއް ޤައުމަށް ވަނީ ބިނާކޮށްދީފައި. ރާއްޖޭގެ ރަށްތަކުގެ ގުޅުން ބަދަހިކޮށްދިނުމުގެ އިތުރުން ދުނިޔޭގެ ޤައުމުތަކާ ރާއްޖެއާއޮތް ގުޅުން ވަރުގަދަކޮށްދޭ ބާރަކަށްވެސް ސްކައުޓް ވަނީ ވެފައި.
ރާއްޖެ ހޯދަމުންދާ ކުރިއެރުންތަކާއި އަންނަމުންދާ ތަރައްޤީއާއެކު ކުރިމަގުގައި ސްކައުޓް ހަރަކާތް އިތުރަށް ފުޅާކޮށް ސްކައުޓުން އިތުރުކޮށް، ޤައުމީ ޚިދުމަތުގައިދޭ ބައިވެރިވުން ބޮޑުކުރަމުން ދާން ޖެހޭނެކަމުގައި އަޅުގަނޑު ދެކެން. ދިވެހި ސްކައުޓް ހަރަކާތަށް ފާގަތިކަމާއި ކާމިޔާބަށް އެދެން. ކުރިއަށް ދިވެހި ޤައުމު! ކުރިއަށް ދިވެހި ސްކައުޓުން!

On 6 Jan 2025, Mihaaru reported that the Hajj waiting list exceeds 9,000, with 1,370 applicants aged 65–75 and 103 above 75.
My parents (65+) are fully paid and were assigned around slot 700 for 2030 back in 2023.
How many slots are we allocating this year for 65+ category?

serious question, Minister. You previously mentioned I think in 2025 that arrangements would be made to prioritize the elderly for Hajj. Based on earlier numbers shared on waiting list, there seemed to be some hope that my parents could perform Hajj within 2–3 years.
However, another year has passed without any clarity, and they are still placed in the original queue for 2030 with no visible changes.

What an Orwellian world we live in. Israel launches a clearly illegal and unprovoked attack on Iran, in violation of the U.N. charter, and with no imminent Iran attack in sight, or any Iranian nukes developed, and its western allies come out to say they reaffirm *Israel’s* right to defend itself, not Iran’s. The aggressor’s, not the victim of the illegal attack.
This, I guess, is the west’s ’rules-based international order.’
