Delighted to welcome @HeyninckJesse to the KRR Group this week. Jesse presented his joint work on “Ranking-based argumentation semantics applied to logical argumentation”
Pleased to say I passed my PhD viva! Thanks to my supervisor @mukau71 and examiners @StevenSchockae2 and Andreas Herzig.
Thesis is now online at https://t.co/s8Cl5OW7HY
📢The good news in the group continue📢 The work by our PhD student Joe Singleton @joesingo2 on Truth-Tracking with Non-Expert Information Sources gets the best student paper award at NMR @FLoC2022🏆🏆 - under the brilliant supervision of Richard Booth! @mukau71
With colleagues from University of Warsaw, our members Víctor Gutiérrez and Yazmín Ibáñez @vicgtzbasulto got a paper accepted to KR 2022. They solve *finite* entailment of navigational queries over ALC ontologies using automata-based techniques. https://t.co/8TWmu5xLtF
More good news! Our members Joe Singleton and Richard Booth got a paper accepted to KR'22 @joesingo2@mukau71. They look at a belief merging problem with multiple non-expert information sources. So, who is the expert? 🤔 https://t.co/Y4NJiNHcOQ
Our members @vicgtzbasulto and @Mexicer together with @jpansw got a paper accepted to IJCAI-ECAI'22. They investigate a type-aware plug-and-play model for complex query answering. https://t.co/N0c2IQrxrE
Twitter is testing Birdwatch, a crowdsourced system for adding "notes" to misleading tweets. They have also published the code for their note ranking algorithm -- this is almost unheard of for a major platform. Reddit is the only other example I know. https://t.co/nie4DRy1lA
Happy to announce our paper "Rankings for Bipartite Tournaments via Chain Editing" was accepted at #aamas2021
Preprint is now on arXiv: https://t.co/Xpc0adWQYh
Joint work with Richard Booth (@mukau71)
Happy to announce my new paper with Jake Chandler on Revision by Conditionals, accepted for #KR2020. Version with proofs on arXiv. https://t.co/E1t0UC3xMb
Relieved to announce my joint paper with Jake Chandler, "On strengthening the logic of iterated belief revision: Proper ordinal interval operators" will finally appear in Artificial Intelligence. https://t.co/s8Eng4IaLI
Tricky decisions to be made to find a fair ranking of the #PremierLeague if the remaining games have to be cancelled. I wrote a short article on ways to rank teams which take into account the *difficulty* of the fixtures they've played so far

Shame that #AAMAS2020 cannot take place in person, but great that all the talks will be available online. Talk on my joint work with Richard Booth (@mukau71) is here:
