I just want to live in a country where when people swear to uphold and protect the tenets of the constitution, they mean it. Please don’t take the job if you’re unwilling to fight injustice in all it’s forms. Think beyond your CV, think of your country.
@arsenalpanda11 The wording is often vague or implicit used imo used to avoid commitment. Your constitution is the same even prior to amendments. The police act and many more. Which is an indictment on our law makers.
2. Immunity for acts "in good faith"- good faith would be hard to disprove for victims of police misconduct. Immunity must be balanced with accountability.
At least 38 bills before parliament and they have to conclude on them before dissolution in next few weeks. You can’t even keep track. From Public Holidays to building cribs, to the electoral process.
Introducing VAWE
A fair election is a safe election with a level playing field, but what makes an election unfair?
Today, we drop Part 1 of our #NoBarriers series: Ending Violence Against Women in Elections (VAWE).

"Ensconced in the bottom of this electronic missive, lies information compressed in the deceptively small body of an icon. There, dear reader, you will find the treasures I speak of."
If this is truly about the people then why are the
people being scolded for upholding supremacy of the constitution 2 (a) of the constitution which empowers citizens with the right and duty to defend and be guardians of the supreme law of this land?
If changing the constitution is about inclusion then why doesn't Bill 7 suggest a clause that aligns with the preamble, national values & principles, & rather compel political parties to provide 50/50 representation & include youth and PWDs on the list of adopted candidates?
If changing the constitution is about providing better service delivery, why does bill 7 suggest more MPs? Why not instead through budgetary means, empower local authorities, local hospitals and
local utilities with skill and funding to execute their duties effectively?
News Explained I The collapse of a tailings dam at EZED Mining in Mwense District has triggered a major environmental incident, contaminating the Mwense Stream and forcing authorities to shut down operations at the site.

@AskRtsa How can RTSA and the Ministry of Livestock help ensure safety on the Great East Road? The presence of loose livestock, specifically cows and goats, from Luangwa to Chipata poses a significant danger to road users.
@BuyoyaJonah I think the larger issue is that the Police Act leaves the police vulnerable to political manipulation and offers no protections for officers who refuse to obey unlawful or politically motivated orders from a superior.
@AskRtsa I think this would work for road tax and insurance because due dates are closer together. Fitness usually has a different date. Will you have to get a new sticker every time get fitness?
