Kildare manager Glenn Ryan wasn't happy with some aspects of officialdom in the wake of his sides two point Leinster semi-final loss to Dublin. Felt a lot favoured the Dubs on & off the field. Says he reflects the views of most teams around the country. #gaa#Dublin#kildare
@wbaireland@Paschald@obraonain@mmcgrathtd This issue has been ‘paramount’ for WBA since 2014. How much correspondence has there been with Minister for Finance since then?
@wbaireland@Paschald@MichealMartinTD@LobbyingIE Serious predicament - being treated as luxury goods but subject to the services threshold!
Did the ‘previous finance minister’ not spot that one? (2 Finance Mins in the past 5 yrs).
Did the same Min say vat rates cannot be amended or decided by one state?
@wbaireland@Paschald@MichealMartinTD@LobbyingIE If you’re a service then the threshold is €37.5k.
The VAT rates aren’t determined by whether you’re classed as a service or goods. It’s not automatically 13.5% for a service and 23% for goods.
Which senior politician said you’re a luxury item/good?
