Wanting to pump out fics regularly when you work a demanding corporate 9-5 is hard I just wanna tippy tappy on my laptop writing fun stories all day sigh
authors don't know how to write proper novels with character development and complex relationships, it's all about tropes and what sells the best. and it's mostly because readers don't allow them to bc nobody wants to deal with slow burns and complex characters anymore
Definitely need beta readers atp but not the kind who correct grammatical errors. The kind who say “why’d that happen” and beat me with a bat if it sucks
@KimTeukChul I would also like to point out that, in Azriel’s bonus chapter when he sees Elain: “The faelights gilded Elain’s unbound hair, making her glow like the sun at dawn.” Hmmmm… what a coincidence that her mate is the son of Day’s High Lord, the court that represents the SUN!
Ok. Wow. I dont usually engage in #booktwt discourse bc it gets crazy fast but this is beyond even my comprehension. I thought readers would revive the publishing industry but THIS is why books are becoming fast fashion..asking an author to dumb their books down is insane
i love when two characters fall in love so gradually that there isn't one specific moment you can point to and say “this is when it happened.” it happened in every conversation, every act of trust, every moment they chose each other without realizing what those choices meant.
