Words cannot describe how happy I am for the past four days in the Highlights in the Language Sciences conference. Presenting my very first poster in an international conference, surrounded by so many big names in the field, was by far one of the best experiences of my life!!!

Now that I have some time, let me tell y’all about the DISRESPECT that Black In Neuro experienced by SfN staff last night 🤬
We did an #SfN24 “sponsored social” and I am livid with how we were treated.
I don’t care what you say to me, but you will NOT disrespect my team.
Please cite PsychoPy in your papers if you use us 🙏
(actually, this goes for all software packages you use!)
Most people do, but it is often easy to forget that software needs citing too!

My new book has just arrived!
“Seeing the mind” is a journey through the history of cognitive neuroscience, brain imaging and neuronal recordings.
It features one hundred of the most beautiful images of the brain and a short text explaining why they matter and what they mean.
Ready for our GA day? New gradute students, please join us this morning! Returning graduate students, you are welcome for the afternoon section. We are all thrilled to be back and starting a new semester together!
How hard is it to do science in a language that’s not your first language? We quantified the severity of #languagebarriers for non-native English speakers when reading/publishing papers and attending/presenting at international conferences.
