We're excited to share our new integration! CrateDB 💙 DataStation
DataStation by @multiprocessio is a powerful IDE for querying and analyzing data 📊

I wrote a short post about SQLite's surprisingly limited builtin functions (surprising to me anyway; compared to DuckDB and PostgreSQL) and how I worked around that in a Go library for @multiprocessio DataStation/dsq.

In case you missed @multiprocessio Hacker Nights last week, here's the recording of @reillywood sharing @nu_shell and @jmmv sharing https://t.co/uvJdNtERMG.
A solid showing, despite the new speakeasy entrance requirement. :)

Here's a new blog post on how integration testing 14+ databases has evolved in DataStation.
From running 14 databases in Github Actions all at once
To building a `withDocker()` helper in Node.js so each jest test can schedule its own container

@japborst Also it's not just databases per se today since it supports connecting to airtable and Google sheets. Everything is a database when you squint thiugh.
@japborst It's been a goal for a while to support Splunk no one has come around to do it yet.
Adding support for new data systems is one of the easier ways to contribute. Hop in discord if you'd like to try!
But which tools are you thinking of specifically? Splunk, datadog, honeycomb?
DataStation has supported querying Google Sheets since version 0.10.0.
This plus DataStation's builtin SQL engine allows you to run SQL queries on top of Google Sheets data in DataStation.
Here's a new tutorial showing you how!

Did you know you can run both Oracledb and SQL Server in a docker container without any Oracle/MS account?
I still find this astounding and awesome on the vendors.
Here is a DataStation tutorial for running SQL Server in a container:
