Delhi Police has designated #CBDGround as a protest site. But does it offer protesters the basic facilities they need?
With grass up to 6 feet tall, a waste dump, open defecation, a strong stench, poor lighting and no boundary wall, the 12-acre DDA ground near Karkardooma Court raises serious questions about accessibility and safety, particularly for women.
Located 12 km from #JantarMantar, the ground is booked until October 30, according to DDA records. Its booking categories do not explicitly mention political gatherings or protests, leaving the commercial category as the apparent option.
The cost? ₹1.27 lakh for a day's booking, ₹1.91 lakh in security charges, plus cleaning charges and GST.

A livelihood crushed in moments. 💔
In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a disabled woman’s small pottery shop was demolished during a municipal anti-encroachment drive—leaving behind broken pots, shattered hopes, and years of hard work reduced to rubble.
Archana Parkhe was seen trying to save her earthen pots after the JCB action, a moment that sparked emotional reactions across social media.
People criticized the authorities for targeting the only source of income of a poor woman, while Bachchu Kadu demanded support and assistance for her.
Rules matter.
But so does humanity.
Because for some people, a small shop is not just a structure…
it is survival.

This is the nationalism of RSS and BJP.
>"We agreed to stop buying oil from Iran."
>"We agreed to stop buying oil from... Russia."
>"Facing so much criticism from our Indian opposition"
>"We agreed for 50% tariffs. Agreed means we did not say anything, we maintained our patience. 50% tariffs we agreed."
>"Today in the new trade deal also we agreed for 18% tariffs higher than what it used to be, I mean average tariff."
>"So where is India lagging behind in that? What are those issues that where India is not doing enough?"
Have you ever wondered as to the why the Lake has never been desilted?
Desilting would have increased the holding capacity of our lakes/reservoirs.
None of them have been desilted- my RTI information from BMC. But who cares. Overflow in August, watercut in April
Spent today at Tansa, a century plus old lake that supplies water to Mumbai daily —400 Million Litres. This lake is located at Shahapur.
Tansa lake supplies around 400 million litres of potable water to the city everyday which is almost 10% of the total stock which is supplied to Mumbai.
INTERESTING: FULL PAGE ads from the Shiv Sena (Shinde group) in every newspaper (or at least the ones I read) celebrating PM@25.
Meanwhile, large parts of Maharashtra are facing a major drought with severe water shortage. Mr @mieknathshinde has reportedly raised the drought issue in his recent meeting with PM. Hopefully, monies will reach the distressed farmers too! 🙏
A good umpire watches the game. A great one watches the replay." 🏏
Politics is a lot like cricket, everyone has an opinion on the match, but only a few are willing to look at the replay and call it like it is. "Hit Wicket & No Balls" by BNK (B N Kumar) is exactly that replay, a sharp, satirical third umpire's view of Politricks-2.

🚨BIG BREAKING : Former SC Judge Just drop HYDROGEN BOMB on ECI & BJP🔥🔥 (MUST WATCH)
Justice Rohinton Nariman did not speak like a politician.
He spoke like a judge who has seen the Constitution from the inside.
▪️He said the right to vote is in great peril today.
▪️He said you cannot have an Election Commission that malfunctions like this.
▪️He said citizens were illegally knocked out through SIR so that a government could get what it wants.
▪️And he said the most dangerous line of all : when the government itself appoints the Election Commissioners, the process to remove them loses its meaning.
That is not a street slogan.
That is a former Supreme Court judge describing the machine.
Bro, imagine the referee of your cricket match is hired by one team, paid by that team, and can be kept or dropped only by that team.
Then that referee starts striking players off the batting list before the match.
Would you still call it a fair game?
That is the fear Nariman has put on the table.
Gyanesh Kumar ji, a former apex court judge has called your Commission a malfunction.
Modi ji, when appointments sit in your government’s hands, every deleted voter looks like a political decision.
Fix the Commission.
Or admit the game. 🔥🔥🔥

Mumbai airport’s Terminal 1 will stop all flight operations from October 25 and stay shut until 2029-30. MIAL is demolishing and rebuilding the 84-year-old Santacruz terminal from January 2027 under an AERA tariff order. Airlines can shift to Terminal 2 or Navi Mumbai, or suspend flights until the new T1 opens, with historic slot rights to be restored later.
