Bunch of wisdom in what she is saying here.
Your marriage is a long journey and what a boring journey it would be if it was perfect out of the gate.
What matters way more than perfection at any point in a marriage is a commitment to aiming for perfection while allowing imperfection to run its course as it sorts out how to ultimately arrive at perfection.
The wives who get that aren’t the wives pulling back sex, threatening divorce, etc as their husbands are learning to master what it is to be a great husband.
They are the wives cheerleading with sex and praising in the face imperfection because they take their marriage vows seriously and invest in a vision of what a man will be, not just what he currently is.
So many wives out there are creating their own misery expecting perfection instead of investing towards perfection that doesn’t yet exist.
If you are one of those wives read what she said below and what I’m saying here over and over again as many times as you need to until you get it. -R
The Proverbs 31 was not a career woman. She didn’t leave her home for hours every day to work for a boss and paycheck while her children were in daycare and public school. She was known for looking well to the ways of her household. Her work was in and around her home.
What REAL Intimacy Actually Looks Like ...
1 - Feeling safe enough to be completely yourself
2 - Being able to disagree without fearing disconnection
3 - Feeling seen, heard, and understood
4 - Sharing the parts of yourself you usually protect
5 - Asking for what you need without shame
6 - Listening without immediately defending or fixing
7 - Being curious about each other's inner world
8 - Giving and receiving affection without expectation
9 - Laughing, playing, and being silly together
10 - Talking openly about sex, desires, fears, and boundaries
11 - Repairing after hurt instead of pretending it didn't happen
12 - Supporting one other to grow and change
13 - Continuing to choose connection in the ordinary moments
14 - Real intimacy isn't simply being close to someone.
15 - It's allowing yourself to be KNOWN by them AND creating a relationship where they feel safe enough to be known by you.

On Wednesday, just hours after the verdict officially confirming Manchester City’s guilt, the Commission responsible for Portugal's witness protection programme informed me of its decision to terminate my participation in the programme and withdraw my police protection, thereby knowingly placing me in a life-threatening situation.
Given these circumstances, I have no alternative but to relocate, within the next few days, to an undisclosed location for an indefinite period of time, due to the multiple death threats I have received and the serious risk of an assassination attempt against me.
For this reason, I have just set up a GoFundMe campaign and I am asking for everyone's support to help me survive this serious situation created by the Portuguese State, which, as I have already stated, has knowingly decided to place my life at risk.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thanks to everyone who continues to support Football Leaks, and I can give everyone one guarantee: the fight will most certainly continue!

Ephesians 5 is a very cherry picked portion of scripture on gender roles that isn’t often read in its proper context.
Many forget that it begins by instructing all of us to walk in love like Jesus did.
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
Ephesians 5:1-2 ESV
The ENTIRE context of gender roles in marriage is in the context of Christ’s love, NOT power or selfishness. Therefore a husband or a wife fails by refusing such love to dictate their actions.
I know many women hate to hear that Jesus asks them to submit to their husbands (not men, just husband), but since the love of Christ is the context, they aren’t asked to submit to abuse. How could you, if Jesus is the example?
“Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.”
Ephesians 5:24 ESV
Notice this is not contingent on his perfect behavior. Rather, you’re doing this out of obedience to Jesus, because you’re reflecting the love of Christ.
Mind you, a dangerous man who will harm you isn’t loving like Jesus. Leave a relationship like this and be safe.
But if instead he’s just not the man you want him to be…you submit. Not because the husband is perfect, but because Jesus is. And this is between you and God.
Submission doesn’t mean you follow a man into sin. It doesn’t mean you accept abuse. It cannot prevent you from speaking your mind. It just means you honor his authority.
Some wives have even won their husbands to the Lord by their conduct. You can’t nag a husband into anything but an early grave, so don’t try. But you can set a godly example and let the Holy Spirit move him. Remember: you aren’t doing this for him. It’s God you’re honoring. The idea of submission to a man is wrong; you’re submitting to God. Loving your husband is a byproduct.
And husbands? The same is true for you: love her because Jesus said so, not because she needs to earn it. Don’t follow her into sin, don’t allow her to abuse you, but also don’t think she has to change before she deserves love. Jesus asked you to do this. Please Him. Let the Holy Spirit turn her around.
Our pride and sinful nature blinds us to the simple truth: our marriage is meant to honor God. Submit to Christ. Love like Jesus. It’s not to make ourselves happy. We WILL be happy when we submit to Jesus, but we can’t make ourselves the priority.
“And all these things will be added unto you.”
“Imitate me, as I imitate Christ”
-Paul
Did you know Paul’s letters are not arranged chronologically? They appear longest to shortest in two groups.
Group 1: Paul’s letters to churches, longest to shortest:
Romans — 7,111 words
1 Corinthians — 6,830 words
2 Corinthians — 4,477 words
Galatians — 2,230 words
Ephesians — 2,422 words
Philippians — 1,629 words
Colossians — 1,582 words
1 Thessalonians — 1,481 words
2 Thessalonians — 823 words
Group 2: Paul’s letters to individuals, longest to shortest:
1 Timothy — 1,591 words
2 Timothy — 1,238 words
Titus — 659 words
Philemon — 335 words
But what if you read them in the order Paul actually wrote them? Something amazing happens. A transformation appears in the way Paul refers to himself across his letters, stretched over 20 years of ministry, dungeons, shipwrecks, and old age.
Watch what happens to how Paul describes himself across his letters. In Galatians 1:1, around AD 48, he introduces himself: “Paul, an APOSTLE — sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father…” Strong. Confident. An apostle.
A few years later, in 1 Corinthians 15:9, around AD 55, Paul writes: “For I am the LEAST OF THE APOSTLES and do not even deserve to be called an apostle…” A few years in, he’s still an apostle. But now the least of them.
Then in Ephesians 3:8, around AD 60–62, Paul writes: “Although I am LESS than the LEAST of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me…” A few more years have passed. He’s no longer comparing himself only to the apostles. He’s comparing himself to all believers, and he’s the least of them.
Then in 1 Timothy 1:15, around AD 62–64, he writes: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the WORST.” At the end of his life, he’s no longer comparing himself to apostles or saints. He’s comparing himself to the worst of sinners.
The longer Paul walked with Christ, the smaller he became in his own estimation. And the larger Christ became.
This isn’t just Paul’s story. It’s the pattern of every saint who has ever walked with Jesus.
I constantly have to explain to people from abroad why British politics is the way it is.
So here’s a TL;DR summary.
> The UK is highly conservative, especially England
> The political class was completely captured by left liberal ideology
> So the mainstream “right wing” party kept promising conservative policies.. but then gave us unprecedented waves of immigration, asylum and woke institutional takeover
> They blamed the high immigration on our membership of the EU, so pressure built and they gave us a rigged referendum in which the government literally posted every household a flyer saying “don’t do it, it will be terrible”
> we voted Brexit anyway - because we wanted lower immigration, desperately
> They ramped non-EU, 3rd world immigration up by orders of magnitude to the highest levels in history to punish us and to squash Covid inflation by lowering wages while pumping their own property portfolios
> Eventually, we’d had enough.. but there was no other serious movement on the right yet.. so we punished them with a historically low vote, removing them from power
> This meant the mainstream left wing party won by default. But quickly realised all their ideas had been implemented..
> So now all they do is tinker at the edges and brutally crack down on anyone deemed to be problematic to the race communism revolution / replacement program
So here we are.. patiently waiting for 2029 for our next vote.. as if in an orderly queue.. with a party in power that is the antithesis of what the majority of British people actually want.
Meanwhile the right is so unbelievably frustrated that it has fractured into 3 parties
1) the original conservatives “we’re sorry we will definitely lower immigration this time”
2) Reform : “anyone can be British as long as it’s legal - we just want to grow the economy and stop the illegals”
3) Restore : “millions must go”
I hope you’ve enjoyed my intro to British politics.
After 29 years of marriage, I can sum up my best advice in three words:
Just. Hang. On.
Before your marriage can thrive, it has to survive.
I promise you this:
All the good stuff is on the other side of whatever problem you’re facing. When you feel like giving up, that’s the time to double down.
Let’s think logically:
Nobody gets divorced during the good times. That means THE WHOLE BALL GAME is weathering the storms. And trust me, the storms will come.
Years ago, when my marriage was struggling, an older mentor told me something that stuck:
A great marriage is built, not found.
If your partner…
> Isn’t crazy (increasingly rare these days)
> Shares your core values
> Wants a great relationship
…then you’ve got all the building blocks you need. But you still have to BUILD. And just as importantly, STOP tearing down.
Try this simple hack for 30 days:
Each morning, say, “I have the best spouse in the world.”
Even if you’re not sure you believe it, say it anyway. Make it your mantra. Say it to your partner.
YOU GO FIRST. I bet you’ll be shocked at how they respond in kind.
Words have power. What you say shapes your beliefs, which inform your actions. It becomes self-fulfilling.
Burn the boats and go all in. There’s a massive difference between being 99% committed and 100% committed.
These days my wife and I talk all the time about how great a life we’ve built together. I shudder to think where I’d be if we didn’t hang on through the tough times.
Nearly three decades in, we’re still building. I encourage you to do the same.
📸:
2006: One in the nest, building.
2026: Empty nest, still building.
P.S. It goes without saying that “just hang on” doesn’t apply to abusive relationships.
There are always compromises in a relationship.
For me, you just need to hit the big rocks. You are not going to agree on everything.
You will argue. Someone will leave their socks on the floor. Someone will have a bad day.
And frankly, you won't be happy 24/7.
What matters:
1. Will this person be there for me?
2. Can they take care of me/raise a family? (goes both ways)
3. Do they have good morals/honesty?
4. Good sense of finances?
5. Willing to learn/grow?
In essence: dependable, trustworthy, honest, competent, compassionate
Encouraging WIVES are better than ROCKET FUEL.
The last two nights our son (5) woke me up around 1/2am with bad dreams & needing dad.
I crushed the gym the last few days (probably too hard) & am super sore & didn't get much recovery.
I also mentioned to my wife I'm a bit stressed with the RELEASE OF MY BOOK in Q1 2027 are requiring a lot of my time & energy lately & I feel like I'm falling behind.
LOW ENERGY DAY.
Nothing in my tank.
My wife pulls me aside.
I've got the kids all afternoon.
You rest, work, or do anything you want the next 4/5 hours & I got this.
"I'm so proud of you & thank you for all you do for our family, your clients & everyone. I love being your wife & am so proud of you!"
REJUVENATED.
ENCOURAGED.
Little coffee, head up to my computer & find this note.
TIME TO CRUSH!!!! 🔥❤️
Young men, do not listen or subscribe to the DOOMER ALL WOMEN ARE TRASH NONSENSE!!!
My wife's like a combination of ADRIAN in ROCKY & the wife from 300 + she loves God & our family more than anything!
Let's GO!!!!!
I am a Christian. But I'm not religious. Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship between human and a loving God. I don't serve and obey Jesus in order be accepted by Him. I serve and obey Jesus because I love Him, and He loved me first.
This is Christianity.
Fabrizio Romano has still not posted the 114 guilty verdict. He of coruse posted Rodri's quotes, amplifying City's defence & not aggregating the news. The selective silence & PR machine rolls on.
David Ornstein broke the biggest story of the decade, while Romano won't even acknowledge that it has happened. The stark difference between them couldn't be any clearer than it is now.
A coward & a lackey, only confirming suspicions about him & City held by many for years.
