@MichaelKugelman The venom in the hearts of many of the commentators here shows how petty their approach is. They would rather have Pakistan fail than have peace in the world. I would say you too "go to hell"
@cyalm Iran will break up into pieces based on ethnic and secetarian lines, in 5 or max 10 years. If we don't occupy Sistan, the Indians and Israelis will fuel the Sunni Baloch in Iran to escalate an independence movement that swallows our part of Baluchistan too.
Nanjing Auto Corp (NAC) purchased the car brand MG and its production plant for US $97 million. Imagine if the state in Pakistan bought an international brand and it's automobile manufacturing capabilities for $100m and then banned all imports but that brand for a few years.
Despite more than 500% increase in gas price for households, it is still cheaper than LPG for all households.
This just shows how we were wasting this precious resource, selling it for free for 20+ yearsโผ๏ธ

@monispk In 2024 I'll try to figure out how to bring logistics costs down for goods to be couriered out of Pakistan. Though I think services is where the bulk of the opportunity lies
Exports as a % of GDP need to be > 20% for a country to be developing. If a billion people can move from 2.5% to 22% in 50 years as is India's example, it's entirely possible to double this ratio for a quarter of a billion Pakistanis

Ever wondered how South Indians are better educated than the rest of us in South Asia? By 1984 Tamil Nadu's PTMGR Nutritious Meal Program took on the responsibility of providing one cooked meal to school children as well as uniforms and books. The bait was a meal for poor kids!
@monispk Monis, while digitizing long tail retailers helps those SMEs we have to figure out how to make them manufacturers of goods or services not traders alone as we need exports not higher consumption
Tech CEOs should be fussing about the product every day, not wasting time in meetings and doing finance and PowerPoints like bankers and consultants.

@ZKooverjee My point is the Israelis are the most powerful and affluent community in the world and the only reason they haven't decimated the Palestinians is because of being "nice". The Palestinians should take a million dollars per family and move for the betterment of their future.
@ZKooverjee Support how? On Twitter? Why can't we take their refugees since their Arab neighbors won't. Why can't we rise above and negotiate with the Israelis and Americans on an economic package for relocation? The alternative is massacre
Pakistan should negotiate $1m/household for Palestinians to relocate to Gwadar where Malik Riaz can help build Dubai style housing. The Israelis can afford it, else ask their American friends to print $1 trillion. Life changing for us and the Palestinians
