People think that the Israel-Palestine conflict is over land. In a myopic sense, yes. But the conflict is between two radically different visions of how society should be organized. Should women have sexual freedom? Should gay people be allowed to be who they are? Should people have freedom of speech? Should religious minorities have equal rights? Should people have freedom of religion? If you stop for a moment and reframe the conflict in its proper terms, the choice should be clear to you. Regrettably, most people are unwilling to think. They prefer slogans whilst donning a "revolutionary" kiffeyeh. They get a temporary hit of dopamine whilst knowing nothing about the underlying issues. The battle in Israel's backyard is going to take place everywhere throughout the West. You need to possess the imagination to extrapolate from current trends. Be careful. Choose wisely.
