House Committee on Education & Workforce

Fostering the best opportunities for students to learn, workers to succeed, and job creators to thrive | Chairman @RepWalberg.

🚨 NEW REPORT: Antisemitism isn't just happening in America's classrooms. It's being written into the curriculum. Committee Republicans' investigations into school districts in Philadelphia and Berkeley, along with the nation's largest teachers union, NEA, uncovered antisemitic materials in classroom curricula, troubling conduct by educators, and failures to adequately address antisemitism.

Jewish students deserve classrooms free from antisemitism—not schools that perpetuate it.

From FOURTH GRADE to HIGH SCHOOL, Berkeley students are being introduced to radical ideology in the classroom.

From “covert resistance” to lessons defending antisemitic remarks as “good trouble,” Committee Republicans' investigation exposed what's in BUSD's curriculum materials.

Parents deserve to know what their children are being taught.

Terrorist ties and American schools should NEVER be in the same sentence.

Yet Berkeley public schools used educational materials from an organization alleged to have ties to a U.S.-designated terrorist group.

American classrooms should be places of learning—not platforms for extremist influence.

See what else the report uncovered.

Fourth graders learning about “resistance.” Fifth graders taught that “Founding Fathers” is a harmful term.

Our investigation found more than radical ideology. It exposed how antisemitism was excused and allowed to spread in Berkeley schools.

A preview of the disturbing findings from @EdWorkforceCmte’s latest report on antisemitism in K-12 schools:

🔴 Fifth graders were taught that the term “Founding Fathers” was harmful and that our Founding Fathers “created and upheld systems of racial and gender inequality.”

🔴 A school district recommended a children’s book that erases Israel from maps of the Middle East.

🔴 Second graders were taught about “privilege on a global scale” and “climate activism.”

🔴 School staff and students raised money for and collaborated with a group alleged to have ties to a U.S.-designated terrorist organization.

🔴 District employees responsible for writing curricula incited antisemitism online and among their colleagues, with one declaring that “all resistance is righteous.”

🔴 Eighth graders were taught about “expressions of power,” including the example of “when a non-binary speaks up to remind a teacher which pronouns they use.”

🔴 Teachers who taught lessons that legitimized antisemitism and whitewashed terrorism told colleagues not to share the curriculum directly with parents.

🔴 Rather than teaching the Holocaust in depth, a high school teacher focused her lessons on settler colonialism and what was happening in Palestine.

This is not education. This is erasing our history and indoctrinating young minds with radical, far-left propaganda and antisemitism. It is the exploitation of our most vulnerable, teaching them to hate our country and our allies.

As a husband and father to two educators and a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, I am disgusted by these findings, and those responsible must be held accountable.

Our schools should be teaching the next generation the skills and lessons they need to succeed, not fueling hatred and political activism.

One of the sessions at the National Education Association’s (NEA) 2025 conference was titled “Christian Nationalist Threats to Public Education.”

The NEA is our nation’s LARGEST teachers union, and instead of supporting our educators and strengthening our education system, it is promoting anti-Christian rhetoric to push its radical agenda.

I have been sounding the alarm about this left-wing hack of an organization that enjoys the benefits of a federal charter. This deplorable behavior is exactly why I introduced legislation to revoke its charter.

Radical indoctrination instead of reading, writing, and math.

Committee Republicans’ investigation exposed how K-12 schools pushed political activism, promoted antisemitic narratives, and kept parents in the dark about classroom materials.

Parents send their children to school to learn—not to be indoctrinated.

🇺🇸 H.R. 10351, Training and Education for American Members in University Sports and Athletics (TEAM USA) Act 🇺🇸

Chairman @RepWalberg and Senator @SenJonHusted introduced the TEAM USA Act to protect opportunities for American student-athletes—from college competition to the Olympic stage.

[House Committee on Education & Workforce @EdWorkforceCmte]

26 international players. Just ONE American.

That’s the makeup of one Division I college soccer team.
American student-athletes deserve a fair shot at competing for American universities.

Chairman @RepWalberg's TEAM USA Act would help protect those opportunities and put American athletes first. 🇺🇸

Religious discrimination has no place in our schools.

The First Amendment isn’t optional, and school districts aren’t above it.

119th Congress Committee Wins: Expanding Opportunity in American Sports 🏆

American athletes deserve a fair shot—from youth sports leagues to the professional ring.

Committee Republicans advanced SCORE Act to bring stability to college sports, and Chairman @RepWalberg introduced TEAM USA Act to protect roster spots and scholarships for American student-athletes.

The House also passed the bipartisan Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act to strengthen safety protections and expand opportunities for professional boxers.

More opportunity. Stronger protections. A better future for American sports.

Turns out colleges CAN lower tuition.

After Republicans capped federal graduate student loans, universities began cutting prices.

The @WSJ Editorial Board breaks down why the Working Families Tax Cuts are already delivering results for students and taxpayers ⬇️

[Rep. Tim Walberg @RepWalberg]

In addition to delivering the largest tax refund season in American history, the Working Families Tax Cuts also expanded educational freedom, incentivizing investments in scholarships to support K-12 education for millions of hardworking Americans and pay for expenses that best meet their educational needs.

119th Congress Committee Wins: Less Bureaucracy, Better Education

Committee Republicans advanced 10 bills to right-size the Department of Education and put students, families, and taxpayers ahead of Washington bureaucracy.

The package would cut unnecessary red tape, streamline federal education programs, and move key responsibilities to agencies better equipped to carry them out.

Education should be about student success—not growing government.

19th Congress Committee Wins: Combatting Foreign Influence 🌎

The Committee passed 4 pieces of legislation to combat foreign influence in American education:

✓ PROTECT our Kids Act
✓ CLASS Act
✓ TRACE Act
✓ DETERRENT Act

We also investigated foreign funding and influence at American colleges and universities and exposed CCP influence at Harvard.

American classrooms should teach American values—not enemy propaganda.

More employee ownership. Less red tape. Greater retirement security. 🇺🇸
The Retire through Ownership Act is LAW!

Championed in the House by @RepRickAllen and passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, the bill has been signed by President Trump!
