We’re investing more in the NHS and delivering differently.
I'm investing £237 million in 36 new and improved Community Diagnostic Centres.
This means shorter waits for tests and scans closer to home, more convenient services, and more footfall to our high streets.
Child poverty is set to fall by 3 percentage points in 2026-27, primarily due to the two-child limit being abolished.
But in the following years, the child poverty rate will start rising again.
By the end of the decade, the projected rate is just 0.5 percentage points below last year.
It's a bit of a myth that rents are constantly increasing faster than earnings or overall inflation - on average, they're not.
So what *is* the problem of unaffordability in the private rented sector? And what does this mean for how we go about fixing it?

Our CEO @joannamyoung is featured on BBC News today talking about energy bills, along with one of our brilliant clients, Mandy Blackwell.
Mandy came to see us when her son was struggling with energy debt and was reluctant to put the heating on. ❄️🔥

Hello @Ofcom can you explain how a channel that isn’t a news channel wins a news presenter award? Yet another chapter in the story of how the media normalised hard right politics because it is nice and easy clickbait.
BREAKING: Am being leaked all the campaign director morning notes from Tory HQ now … here is today’s …
we will be fielding C Heaton-Harris on the media this morning. You will know he is not standing but as with M Gove we think this helps us. These departing MPs are able to put a bit of distance from the campaign and when asked to comment eg on betting scandals, unravelling tax lies and the like, they can say it is not a matter for them. But they can then pivot to our line of the day which is that Starmer will take UK back into EU. We need to be careful however, as there is a danger this will make Starmer more popular. So we need to issue the warning gently, especially in Lib Dem areas. Please don’t leak but the Chancellor called the PM yesterday furious at his “Brexit is great”’tweet (overnight focus groups suggest JH has a point but let’s double down to show confidence in our strategy. Tomorrow Sir Gavin Williamson will be main message carrier. Unfortunately most of current cabinet now feel they are in either lost cause seats or marginals so we have to respect their refusal to go out and defend the national campaign. But as you know Gav is a great salesman and we are hoping he can do for Rishi what he once did for fireplaces. No new scandals overnight apart from us using public money to set up party website for candidates. But thankfully there are so many bigger scandals nobody is noticing. And remember … it is no longer about stopping the boats but stopping the votes. STOP THE VOTES. AVOID THE SUPERDEFEAT WE KNOW WE DESERVE. Onwards !!!
2024 will see some easing of cost pressures.
But British households are on course to be £1,200 poorer on average going into the next election than they were coming out of the last one.
That is something never seen before in modern British history. https://t.co/Byeifen2h7
Britain will bring in the new year with hefty National Insurance cuts, followed by huge tax rises in April, when Income Tax and NI thresholds will be frozen again.
The net effect will see all employees who earn below £26,000 worse off or unaffected, while those above gain.

Britain’s National Health Service is in poor shape. It has 6.8m people on waiting lists, wards are full and public satisfaction has fallen. The situation is likely to worsen in 2023 #WorldAhead
