Thread: When we think about the mid 19th century fashion, big crinoline dresses that drop to the floor in heavy gorgeous fabrics usually come to mind, but during that time there was also a lesser known trend happening among the start of first wave feminism.
The bloomer craze was a key component in the Victorian dress reform movement, working towards letting women dress more comfortably and practically than was allowed at the time.
Milo Anderson handled the costume design for STAGE FRIGHT ('50), but Marlene Dietrich insisted on Christian Dior’s involvement, to the point where she said she would not do the picture without him.
