That is the danger of mob justice. Like a raging fire, it consumes reason, judgment, and humanity. It turns ordinary people into participants in acts they later spend the rest of their lives regretting.

Today, #Obed sits in custody. His children will suffer. His family will suffer. Those who depended on him will bear the consequences for years to come. A single reckless decision has changed many lives forever.

Let this serve as a lesson to everyone: no accusation, rumor, or suspicion gives anyone the right to take the law into their own hands. If you suspect someone of committing a crime, report them to the authorities and allow the law to take its course.

Say NO to mob justice. One moment of anger can destroy a lifetime.
