@MarinaMedvin Regarding the 1948 Arab-Israeli war the video says Israel lost "a huge amount of its population". Wikipedia says about 4000 fighters killed and 2400 civilians. If you compare that to Gazans killed so far, it's similar and if you compare civilians only, today's conflict is worse.

I actually am coming around to the idea that Democrats should nominate @Schwarzenegger for Speaker of the House. A few reasons...

1) He's likely the most popular Republican politician in America

2) I think it is very unlikely he actually does it---why give up a sweet life of being a rich and famous retiree having a grand time for this nonsense?

3) Voters like bipartisanship, and nominating a moderate member of the opposing party who is also super famous would send a very strong message that Democrats are the reasonable party

4) It'll cause chaos in the GOP caucus, Trump hates him and will get into a massive social media war over this

5) Even if he said yes, he's not winning. Not enough Republicans willing to cross Trump like that, and a lot of progressive Democrats would balk

6) Even if he magically somehow became the actual Speaker of the House...honestly, Speaker Schwarzenegger would be a huge improvement over the likely alternative, Speaker Scalise

Yet the President of Cornell University clinically describes it as a “Response to World Events.”

She then complains it is “impossible” to respond to all of the world’s tragedies. The largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, she suggests, is simply one event among many. The butchering and kidnapping of civilians and children are no different from an earthquake.

Why is higher education so lacking in even the slightest semblance of moral leadership?

— An end to misinformation on social media
