I was at a recent investment banking seminar focused on Colorado; the biggest investment bank in America and people in the room gave a very clear message: do not put new money into the state.
Their reasons:
• The political and regulatory environment got an F.
• Fees and taxes together create one of the highest overall burdens in the country.
• The advice was not “be careful in certain sectors.” It was avoid all new investment.

In normal terms: the Colorado political system is toxic to Wall Street. And you may not care, but no investment means no new business or taxes. Where do the Democrats go? More taxes, and more businesses flee, no jobs, teachers, social services. In 1-Party rule the Democrats solution is more NGOs, but they don’t create anything, they drain everything. Unless something changes soon, expect a huge recession in Colorado. #colorado #economy

Governor Jared Polis, Democrat, just signed SB4 into law, drastically expanding the state’s "Red Flag" law. Under the guise of "public safety," Democrats are now handing the power to seize private property to an even broader list of petitioners, including healthcare workers, educators, and "behavioral health co-responders."

The hypocrisy is stunning. While Democrats are obsessed with protecting "due process" for illegal aliens and shielding them from the law, they are more than happy to strip actual American citizens of their real constitutional rights.

Make no mistake: this is a direct assault on Due Process and the Second Amendment. By expanding who can petition the courts to strip citizens of their civil liberties—often based on hearsay before a crime has even been committed—the Democrats have created a weaponized system ripe for abuse.

This isn't about safety; it’s about control. This law opens the door for political opponents and activists within our institutions to target law-abiding Americans and punish those who don't align with their agenda. You say the wrong thing, you get red flagged.

The radical left continues to chip away at our fundamental liberties, replacing the presumption of innocence with state-sponsored confiscation. It’s a dark day for the Bill of Rights in Colorado. 🇺🇸🚩
