There’s this skater by the name Kevin who won Gold for Kenya in Benin. I’m very sure that CS for sports was not even aware of this.
He privately paid for his ticket. Cabinet secretaries are busy campaigning for Ruto.
Ladies and Gentlemen Ksh.6.3 Billion was diverted from E-Citizen to Personal accounts. 6.3 Billion. Ivo tu 6.3Billion!!!
For Context one Brand new fully functional Level 5 Hospital costs around 1B-1.5 Billion. Izo ni Sita gone!!!
We have no country here.
I asked my father how he has:
4 houses
3 cars
No loans
A happy wife
I thought he would say chase money and you will get what you want in life.
Instead, what he said shocked me:
What happens when you inherit land... Then later sell it?
How does KRA tax it?
Let's go through this case. Simplified to today.
There is a guy called Dhanjal.
He inherited land from his father in 2014.
Years later, in 2022, he sold it for 178m.
He filed his capital gains tax (CGT) return as a law abiding citizen.
- But, CGT = Sales price - Cost price.
So, what cost will Dhanjal rely on here?
He went for the market price of that land in 2014.
The valuer had pegged it at 150m.
He computed & paid his taxes as:
- (178 - 150) x 15% = 4m.
KRA audited him.
It rejected his cost of 150m.
Their argument:
- You did not buy this land.
- You got it for free.
- Your cost is zero
They adjusted his tax to:
- (178m - 0) x 15% = 27 m
From 4m to 27m.
Dhanjal furiously ran to court.
He argued:
- The cost of inherited land cannot be zero.
- The law allows use of market value at the date of inheritance
The court looked at it… and agreed with him.
He won & KRA’s demand was set aside.
Lessons.
- The cost of inherited property is not zero
- Use market value at the date of inheritance
- KRA will push hard. Be firm.

You wake up at 5AM not to build hospitals, not to fix roads, not to feed children .
But to wrap Parliament in wire like a crime scene.
You barricade the city like you’re under siege. But the only thing you’re hiding from is the truth.
You don’t fear bandits. You don’t fear cartels. You don’t fear the murderers in government.
You fear the teacher who speaks out. The youth who stands up. The mother who says ‘enough.’
That’s who you fear. Because you know ; once the people wake up, you can’t govern them with lies anymore.
Politicians you mean. We still have no leaders but the current generation is slowly guiding the electorate in the leadership direction of elections . The day we will have leaders ; the campaign and election period will be the 1 yr towards elections as you had earlier suggested not all year round !
"Why should someone print paper and hand them over to us (AFRICA) and require us to pay back, not with another paper but our resources. I have come to the realization that this is an act of a modern Slavery and Colonization." ~ Paul Kagame
