“Dear migrants, before I say any other word to you, I want to bow before your dignity.
“You are not numbers or case files.
“You are people — with a family and a home left behind, with dreams that no one has the right to scorn.” — Pope Leo XIV
Once people start fighting you, that's when you know you are on the right track.
Last week they sent some blogger to tarnish your name. When it didn't work, they resorted to arresting you, it also did not work. Sasa they have sent goons.
Your resilience mzee amazes everyone. No funding, no benefactor aside from Kenyans.
You are the only safe and best choice Kenyans really have. We are behind you; Your excellency, The 6th.
Three protesters shot dead in Nanyuki. Students shot inside their own hostel at Multimedia University.
Hooded, unidentifiable officers firing live rounds on unarmed Kenyans.
This is not law enforcement. This is the constitution being violated in broad daylight.
As we approach the 2nd anniversary of June 25, we must refuse to normalise what we are witnessing.
Accountability is not optional. It is what justice looks like in practice.
Here is my statement on the current pattern of violence by the Police:
Today, I had the honour of taking my oath of office before @UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres as Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and Executive Director of @UNODC.
In taking this oath, I am reminded that international civil service is, above all, a commitment to people. As I solemnly declared my dedication to carry out these functions with integrity, impartiality, and the utmost regard for the purposes and principles of the United Nations, I reflected on the responsibility that comes with this trust.
I step into this role with humility, gratitude and a profound sense of duty, and look forward to working with colleagues and partners across the UN system, and the world to advance peace, security, justice and the rule of law, for a more prosperous and dignified future for all.
Yesterday in Parliament, the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, failed to assure the country that the government’s decision‑making on the Ebola question is within the law and fully under control. The Constitution demands both legality and respect for court orders and public participation.
Listening to him, the message is clear, the court will have its say but the executive will enforce their way.
When a High Court has already issued conservatory orders suspending an Ebola‑related facility, any suggestion that the Executive can press on regardless converts being within the law into a slogan to justify disobedience. Constitutional obedience is not optional and it is not subject to administrative convenience.
Kenyans are entitled to clear, honest answers. Who authorised these arrangements, on what legal basis and with what safeguards for public health and sovereignty? Dismissing concerns as mere alarm while sidestepping these questions undermines public trust in both the Ministry of Health and Parliament’s oversight role.
The right to health under Article 43 must be read together with Articles 10, 94, 95 and 165 on constitutionalism, public participation and the authority of the courts. You cannot promote public health by eroding the very legal framework that protects Kenyans from arbitrary executive action.
Mr president , the sovereign power belongs to the people .
Whatever you do while in position of authority, your decision stops at public participation.
Once the citizens reject something whom are you governing it with ?
Close that Ebola facility immediately.
It is not a request . Citizens are demanding .
Kenya needs a renaissance!
So our national team @HarambeeStars is stranded in South Africa due to unpaid bills.
Kenyan President is landing in the same country with a private jet in a trip costing millions of tax payers money.
And there is still some Kenyans who see nothing wrong with Ruto.
Anyway, let me go back to business.
We must do this for our country Kenya.
Kenya needs a renaissance
I've just watched President William Ruto's Madaraka Day speech, and I honestly think it's among his weakest yet, with lots of gaslighting.
He seems unable to distinguish between a national moment and a political talking point.
Madaraka Day is one of the few occasions when a President is expected to speak to the hopes, struggles, and future of the entire country.
Instead, he spent a significant portion of the speech on an issue that, while important, could easily have been addressed at a separate event in Wajir.
Where was the conversation on the cost of living?
Where was the fuel?
Jobs?
The economy?
A President with major achievements spends Madaraka Day showcasing them. A good president also adresses problems his people are facing.
A President with little to show and who doesn't care spends Madaraka Day changing the subject.
Completely disconnected.

I didn't reach my athletic peak until I was 43.
I didn't write my first book until I was 44.
I didn't start my podcast until I was 45.
At 30, I thought my life was over.
At 52 I know it's just beginning.
Keep running. Never give up. And watch your kite soar.

@edwinsifuna After all the school dormitories fires we have experienced in the years where we lose so many children, my question is kwa parliament mzima hakuna mtu ashawahi skia about smoke detectors jameni mpitishe iwe lazima that all schools should install them. Ama shida huwa wapi jameni
When tragedies like the fire at Utumishi Girls Academy happen sometimes words just fail you. I cannot imagine the pain the parents, teachers and students are feeling. I know there is nothing that can be said to make you feel different but please accept my sincere condolences. Poleni sana.
Our medical team at Bondo Sub County Hospital has made history by successfully delivering a baby girl from a rare, life threatening abdominal (ectopic) pregnancy.
Mama Nancy Akinyi and her 1kg miracle baby, Blessing Violet, are now healthy and discharged after 3 months of dedicated, round the clock care in our new Newborn Baby Unit (NBU). This is what happens when clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassion converge. I highly commend Dr. Evans Ogoti, our nurses, CHPs, and the entire theatre and NBU teams for their unwavering dedication to saving lives.
To ensure dignified, quality care for every resident, we are building an ultra modern theatre complex with an integrated NBU and a new inpatient complex at Bondo Hospital. We are also recruiting more doctors, nurses, and clinical officers by July to boost our capacity.
Through these deliberate efforts, Siaya is now ranked 9th out of 47 counties in reducing maternal mortality. No mother should lose her life while bringing forth new life. We will not relent.
