Arkansas sophomore wide receiver Monte Harrison is 31 YEARS OLD and on the team’s roster.

Harrison had played pro baseball for the past 10 years and was one of the main pieces in the Christian Yelich trade to Milwaukee.

In 2021, Presbyterian College hired Kevin Kelley, a coach who won 9 Arkansas HS state championships with the unorthodox strategy of never punting. The Blue Hose had generally struggled and had nothing to lose trying something new.

The experiment was an immediate success, starting off with a 84-43 win, and following that with a 68-3 blowout. Both were against non-NCAA opponents, but gave hope that Presbyterian might have introduced the biggest change to the game of college football since the forward pass.

They lost their last 9 games and Kelley was let go. But oh what a season it was.
