@anshuman_sunona For city limits the black car was driving too fast even for any pedestrian to cross. The pedestrian was shocked and tried to run across. Scooter also was being driven fast. Net net black car should be made punishable.
@DKShivakumar The initiative and action is admirable and much needed. However we see some of the vendors returning back. Hope the encroachment removal is done ongoing and not one time activity for it to be effective
@karnatakaportf Multiple issues here. Insufficient shoulder lane width for Karnataka RTC bus to stop. Bus had emergency lights on but should have placed additional warning signal behind. Truck driver failed to notice ahead
Met the new Bengaluru minister today at Vidhana Soudha. No selfie :) only discussion. Two principles and two suggestions from among a list of things we spoke about.
(a) Given the weaknesses in urban governance, we have to tackle public problems through greater participation of citizens. Please encourage this.
(b) Low hanging fruit will be easy to identify and pluck once we are clear about the tree. Set clear goals for each entity that can only be achieved through collaboration with others. The habit of collaborating will emerge.
(c) Inter-modal connections at all Metro stations can be pursued by the corporations and Metro working together. Both report to you.
(d) Buses are not in your control bus stops are. Please establish signage, shelter and seating at all stops.
Thank you, @krishnabgowda for the time and discussion. Like many others in the city, I would like to see you succeed in raising the bar for governance in the city. People still remember the last 'Krishna' that championed the city!
@OfficeOfDGP@nitin_gadkari For the first time in my 38yrs life of driving/riding vehicle I purchased a fuel additive to save it from ethanol issues. This is additional burden we are paying
Sir, have seen your video questioning officials on road quality. Much needed say. On the same direction can you pls review why spend huge money on white topping every road as a solution to potholes or bad roads? Example the plan to whitetop ORR will consume time and money which is a luxury when high quality roads with bitumen can be seen in other cities
Bengaluru has many unique flyover first - First flyover to have signal (Richmond, Hebbal)
- First flyover to have speed breakers (Hebbal, ORR)
- First flyover to become monument (Koramangala)
- First flyover to have bus stop (Manyata)
- First flyover within city to hv tolls(Electronics city)
Here's my list ...
(a) BSWML - How to rein in the corruption in waste management, which the government itself acknowledges as a mafia?
(b) CORPORATIONS - How to improve the quality of road works carried out by the corporations, and get them to build complete streets instead of road surface alone?
(c) BSMILE - How to stop this entity from proposing projects with no basis in data or transportation science?
(d) METRO - How to improve the connections between Metro and other modes at every station, and create a proper town planning scheme for land use around stations?
(e) LAKES - How to revive the management of lakes that has been stalled ever since public participation was stopped?
(f) BUSES - How to ensure that every stop has a sign, a shelter, space to sit and information about services
Railways always treated Karnataka low priority even though we had so many (ineffective) Rail ministers!
Example- We are one of the last to get electrification, doubling. Only recently ICF->LHB coaches were increased. And now one of the last to get suburban trains. MAQ still not under SWR!
The question to ask is-Why is a non Kannadiga, a total outsider to Karnataka being promoted as a Raj sabha member from Karnataka? One who has no loyalty to Karnataka, no relationship at all, no connection? Is there nobody from Karnataka fit to represent Karnataka? It is time Kannadigas spoke up against all political parties riding rough shod over us and promoting non Kannadigas to represent us at our cost. This show total non respect to Kannadigas. All political parties should be asked to stop this very bad practice which shows total disrespect to voters in a state. Karnataka does not belong to any political party! We are not subjects but citizens @DKShivakumar@INCIndia@BJP4India@blsanthosh
@Gss_Views It's lying unused most probably because corporates see risk in further investing due to changing policies and taxation uncertainties. God help with such kind of babus in PMO and FInance ministries! As soon as you make some money govt. brings some tax. Double taxation evrywhere
@ChristinMP_ Glad to see Transport dept. no more with Ramlingam Reddy. He only sided with Auto Unions and showed no interest to any form of shared mobility/Public transport for Bengaluru. In fact he should not be given any portfolio related to Bengaluru development.
