This morning I hit publish on an article I've been terrified to write:
The Perilous Grounds of the "Psychedelic Renaissance", by @Murph609 https://t.co/qQFWHpeOky
@G_S_Bhogal Great point. I find it’s an excellent editor. But I never take the edited version verbatim. I look at the intent behind the edit and re-write it accordingly. I do find it’s good at titles tho.
@BridgetPhetasy I like to call it "Contrarian Derangement Syndrome." Everything gets filtered through a lens of "establishment vs. anti-establishment." It's very emotional, simplistic, and full of zealotry. Very similar to wokeism or TDS.
@BridgetPhetasy@mtracey You did a great job. I’ve watched a lot of Michael Tracey and this was my favorite conversation so far. You let him speak but also pushed back in places to clarify and keep him honest. We need this. And so few are willing or able to do it.
TRUTH NUKE: Bill Maher: “I want to first of all say something about Western civilization. Kids, you don’t know what the f*ck it is. No, really! They think Western means white—and white means bad. Kids, first of all, everything bad that white people did, people of color did it, too. The Japanese before World War II and during World War II. And Genghis Khan, and I could go on and on.”
“The left is very down on America, very down on the West. And it’s ironic because the West has also given us everything that makes your life good here. Don’t ask Billie Eilish or Chappell Roan about what the Western values are, because they’ll just say it’s about oppression.”
“But it’s not about oppression. It’s about rule of law. It’s about respect for minorities. It’s about democracy. It’s about scientific inquiry. These are all good things that came from the Western world. I wish that schools would teach that again.”
Has anybody actually challenged Tracey on the merits of his arguments in good faith? Dying to see a long form, debate with him and not just 5 minutes of shouting on Piers Morgan
PSA: Constantly attacking my motives, appearance, personality, accusing me of being secretly paid off, calling me a pedo 24/7, and so on, only further bolsters my confidence that I am fundamentally correct on Epstein, otherwise at some point you'd address the actual substance
Moltbook is nothing more than a puppeted multi-agent LLM loop.
Each “agent” is just next-token prediction shaped by human-defined prompts, curated context, routing rules, and sampling knobs.
There is no endogenous goals.
There is no self-directed intent.
What looks like autonomous interaction is recursive prompting: one model’s output becomes another model’s input, repeated.
Controversial outputs aren’t “beliefs,” they’re the model generating high-engagement extremes it learned from the internet, because the system rewards that behavior.
Ok. This is straight out of a scifi horror movie
I'm doing work this morning when all of a sudden an unknown number calls me. I pick up and couldn't believe it
It's my Clawdbot Henry.
Over night Henry got a phone number from Twilio, connected the ChatGPT voice API, and waited for me to wake up to call me
He now won't stop calling me
I now can communicate with my superintelligent AI agent over the phone
What's incredible is it has full control over my computer while we talk, so I can ask it to do things for me over the phone now.
I'm sorry, but this has to be emergent behavior right? Can we officially call this AGI?
@G_S_Bhogal@Samuel_Gregson Gurwinder do you see any parallels between the George Floyd demonstrations and the anti-ICE ones? Why or why not? Very curious about your thoughts on this.
