🇺🇸🇦🇺 The U.S. Navy just stood up a permanent base in Perth, Australia.
Naval Support Activity Stirling went official on May 30th, built specifically to anchor the Submarine Rotational Force-West under the AUKUS framework.
This is the U.S. planting roots in the Indo-Pacific, not just rotating ships through. A permanent facility means sustained submarine presence, sustained logistics, and a sustained message to Beijing that the alliance isn't going anywhere.
Australia just became a frontline platform for American sea power in the Pacific.

This man is a troll who says that any election won by Democrats is "stolen." He also oversees national election security for Homeland Security.
He's been pushing the ridiculous "California fraud" narrative.
He studied at Moscow State University. 1/
Hemingway observed in his 1926 novel The Sun Also Rises that one goes bankrupt “gradually and then suddenly.” The same can be said of armies. My latest at The Bulwark. https://t.co/OxLykwZQdS
They’re practicing for the midterms.
“I refuse to believe these results”
“Reversal of the election”
GOP has become that kid on the playground that cries and sobs “you cheated!” every time they don’t like something.
🔊Sound on
The choking of Russian logistics continues, as 1 of Crimea's 2 crossing points with occupied Kherson has been damaged.
The Antonivskyi Bridge in Kherson needed HIMARS to cut it. Now drones can do the same job, and are much cheaper and more plentiful.
Stay tuned.💥
Russian propaganda is influencing the right-coded podcasters and even some Members of Congress. The leftwing has long been sympathetic to arguments from our enemies but now we have the horseshoe in effect. Regardless of your view on the degree of help we supply Ukraine, we should be clear about who are aggressors vs defenders and enemies and allies.
Just a quick comment from a veteran of three decades of middle eastern conflicts (ie, me). U cannot ever let a terrorist entity or its supporters get the upper hand/last shot. Violence must be met with overwhelming violence. Trump’s request to Israel tonite to not strike Iran after the ballistic missile attacks is just dead wrong. And very dangerous. Also-the US has retaliated immediately after recent Iranian attacks. Every time. Asking Israel not to do same is preposterous.
Hunter, you, perhaps unwittingly initially, caused so much damage for Ukraine. You know full well you were hired by Burisma FROM MOSCOW in the spring of 2014, after Burisma's CEO fled Ukraine's 'drain the swamp' revolution.
And yet you have allowed everyone from Tucker Carlson to the BBC claim that you worked for a 'Ukrainian firm,' when in fact Burisma's CEO only hired you after he fled Ukraine—precisely when the Kremlin needed your dad to do nothing to stop Putin from taking Ukraine's Crimea in 2014.
Yet millions of Maga folks oppose Ukraine primarily because they falsely think YOU made money there. All you have to do is be honest and say, 'no I was hired from Moscow.'
Why won't you?
Plot Twist: The US is no closer to a deal with Iran than it was in June 2025 at the end of the 12 Day War.
Watching the Department of Defense morph into the Russian Ministry of Defense under Pete Hegseth, with the repeated outright lies, and there is no other way to candy coat it, about how everything is a spectacular military success, is not getting the US any closer to a resolution.
It's embarrassing and humiliating.
Worst of all, every day Hegseth lies to the White House about glorious total military success, it provides Iran with another day of breathing room to rearm and redploy assets. Iran's missiles and drone inventory, and TELs, were not 90% destroyed. Not even close. Iran's production capacity, especially for drones, is already nearing full restoration.
Real military leadership includes accountability when things don't go to plan. The first rule of war. Nothing ever goes to plan. Henry Stimson wasn't proving he could beat Hitler and Hirohito by making Newsreels of himself doing push-ups and telling European allies they need to suck it up.
We were promised 4 things by the Trump administration.
1) No new wars. Not, no. New wars!!!
2) Ruthless transparency. The most transparent administration ever. The Pentagon press office is now off-limits and classified. Casualties have been covered up. Critical losses of military hardware have been covered up. The severity of the damage to the USS Ford was covered up. Even the official Congressional report on airframe losses omitted a CH-47 and 4 Little Birds that were, without any doubt, 100% lost. So what else was covered up?
3) Politicians and poll numbers would not drive US military doctrine. USA! War fighters! Right now, Bob and Martha in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are furious that diesel fuel is $4.66 a gallon and they can't afford fertilizer for their summer crops. Politicians and poll numbers are driving military doctrine. You don't need a poli sci degree to know that if WTI goes to $150 a barrel, Republicans are toast in the midterms. Someone get Barak Ravid on the phone. Operation Epic Fury is over. We won! A ceasefire is when both sides still shoot at each other.
4) The DoD procurement Charlie Fox-Trot of the last 25-30 years, especially for the Navy and the needs of 21st-century warfare, would be fixed. Trump-class battleships that will field weapons that, wait, let me check my notes, don't even exist today, don't solve the core problems the Navy is facing. A lack of total VLSs. The poor state of Naval logistics. The need to have more vessels in total to operate in multiple theaters concurrently. Expanding US shipbuilding? It has just been a bunch of talk.
The DoD continues to reject Ukraine's drone technology because we hate Ukraine, apparently, and friends and family of the administration need to be enriched by building vastly more expensive solutions that will never scale in a major war.
The Biden administration expanded US 155mm artillery production using money, wait for it, that was part of the Congressional authorized funds for Ukraine, supporting the construction of a modern ammunition factory in Mesquite, Texas. The US is supposed to be making over 1M rounds per year now. It's not even close, and the Trump admin has done almost nothing to hold General Dynamics' feet to the fire to solve their damn problems beyond some token fines. Meanwhile, in less than 5 years, Germany's Rheinmetall is producing more military ammo than the US. But somehow, Europe is the problem.
This woman in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar region, in Russia not only sees the burning oil depot, but in fact Russia‘s future.
This war has derailed everything in Putin‘s crumbling empire.
