@SarahKLweather hello - just saw you on Morning Live and the phrase about “Clout and May”… I grew up being told it was a Scottish phrase and ‘May’ is actually ‘mae’, the old Scots word for the hawthorn flower… so, effectively, wait for the hawthorn to bloom first.
@StagecoachWScot is it company policy to allow drivers to hold up the departure of the bus mid-journey at an official stop so they can nip out and have a 1 minute vape? 1025, Prestwick Cross this morning.
@ukhomeoffice It may be iconic but the quality is rubbish. Three years usage for the one on the right and the ink is already rubbing off the front?? What are the implications on arriving abroad when it rubs away fully, well before the expiry date of the document? I look forward to hearing.
@easyJetholidays can you show me where on your website you advise that anyone travelling into Egypt has to have medical proof of all dispensed pills and ointments they are carrying? Thanks.
@UPS trying to understand why after two online (confirmed) attempts to reschedule a delivery from last Thursday 25th to tomorrow, 30th, that the courier arrived 5 mins ago. And he was wearing a Superdry hoodie, not obviously UPS although his trousers may have been. Pretty poor.
It’s almost September. Visitors can play the links @PrestwickStNich until the end of October. She then gets a bit of a rest over the winter months. Have you booked your tee time?
Nonsense piled upon nonsense.
Before Brexit there were v few boat people because illegal migrants were coming in as stowaways on lorries. When that became much harder they turned to boats.
The Dublin Convention made very little difference to illegal migration. The numbers returned were a pittance. Indeed we might even have accepted more migrants under it (the Convention was a two-way street) than we returned.
As an MP you should know all that. And if you do, why are you tweeting clear untruths.
From the first tee to the final green, Western Gailes immerses you in a landscape that’s as legendary as the players who’ve graced it. Surrounded by rugged dunes and the rolling waves of the Firth of Clyde, it’s not just a round of golf, it’s a brush with greatness.
I watched this happen on the morning of 4 June 1989 in Chang’an Avenue, near Tiananmen Square, the morning after the night’s massacre. Don’t believe the propaganda lie that no massacre took place: I saw 40 people killed in front of me before giving up counting in despair.
@JimHHartsell My pleasure Jim. Came as an idea spawned from a photo of the R&A taken by my friend in the depths of winter a few years ago… started it in watercolour, made a mess of the sky so switched to gouache to regain control 😃 Entitled “Snow showers are likely from the north-east”.
Apparently, neither BBC Reporting Scotland nor STV News saw fit to mention this or Swinney’s reception. Better show it again here then.
Thank goodness for social media.
This from Black is astonishing to say the least, her attendance record was shocking, but she stood in a further 2 elections, yet her mental health was wrecked, I smell bull💩
What was it that drew her back, wages and expenses would’ve been a huge magnet
