@claysmith79 Narrative should be taught as narrative. Most are afraid to because the context of the NT text is rooted in first century Jewish thought and culture. Especially the gospels. In order to teach the story well one must understand Jewish historical context. It takes work.
@AndyStanley He is returning in battle to judge those nations who have attacked Jerusalem according to Zechariah. He will return to Israel to restore the nation. Teach the whole of scripture. Not just what feels good.
@AndyStanley Andy, Jesus is going to return in a nationalistic political way. He is also going to return militarily as commander and chief. "Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as he fights on the day of battle." Zech 14:1. He is returning as judge, warrior, and King.

@Apokalyptos_@rabbriansamuel Based on your interpretation of Galatians 3 there are no more men or women anymore either? Do you believe that God has erased gender identity? Christ changes our DNA? I am Jewish and believe in Jesus. Paul many times strongly upholds his Jewish identity. He never saw it "erased".
@claysmith79 As one of his "brethren and countrymen according to the flesh" I look forward to your exposition. Missiologically the Jewish people were Paul's primary (proton) focus. May the Lord help my Gentile brothers and sisters in Christ to care for the Jewish people as Paul did. Rom 11:11
