Reports emerging from Doda about the killing of a civilian, Arif Hussain, who was allegedly stabbed and then shot dead by security forces , followed by an internet shutdown across the district, are deeply disturbing.
The administration must act swiftly to establish the facts and ensure accountability.
J&K must not be allowed to slide towards a situation where allegations of cow smuggling become a pretext for mob violence and the killing of Muslims.

My theory is that , as this country is getting more radicalised daily we would see muslim women getting hired easily for jobs while muslim men get rejected or hire less, this would ultimately make such girls being isolated around kafirs which eventually leads to such incidents

Tanveer Ahmad Chopan, 25, was travelling home with his own cattle when Hindu radicals in two vehicles ran him down, dragged him out, and beat him.

This is the 4th such case in Ramban.

If the accused were Muslim, they’d already be under UAPA with a terrorist tag slapped overnight. Instead a softer word “cow vigilantes” is preferred to describe them. We will call them what they are: Terrorists.

The family of Tanveer Chopan deserves justice. No political patronage should safeguard the accused.
