A very impressive study for how we could prevent lung cancer more than 5 years before it is diagnosed. Using machine learning, discovery of a 14-plasma protein signature of risk that predicts responsiveness to an antibody therapy to interleukin, IL-1β

The ramp up of cancer immunotherapy is remarkable. Now we're seeing vaccines achieve some cures or remissions in the most refractory cancers: pancreatic, melanoma, glioblastoma, renal, triple-negative breast cancer.

President Kagame:
“Rwanda is strong and strong enough in our own circumstances, precisely because we consider ourselves vulnerable to ideologies of violence, of violent ethnic extremism, particularly when they benefit from direct or indirect state support.
We have made a promise to ourselves to never go back to the dark days, that darkness. We can't go back, and that is not something we will waver from.”
I am deeply grateful @sacstate for erecting a permanent #genocide monument on its campus. This will spur and continue to be a catalyst for young and future generations to learn & commit to fighting against genocide and genocide denial. Thank for your unwavering support and solidarity through several decades as we continue to commemorate the 1994 #Genocide against the Tutsi.
Thankful as well to all partners, Friends of Rwanda Association, Ibuka USA, and the Rwandan community in California whose commitment made this possible. #Kwibuka32
Thank you to my sister President @SuluhuSamia for the warm welcome to Tanzania and for the productive discussions.
Rwanda and Tanzania are not only neighbors but brotherly countries bound by history and a shared goal of prosperity for our people. Rwanda remains committed to building on this strong foundation by deepening our bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and regional integration.
I look forward to continuing our collaboration to achieve tangible results for our citizens and advance the East African Community.

#EidMubarak to Muslims in Rwanda and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. May this celebration bring peace, hope, and blessings to every home, every country and region, and serve as a reminder of the importance of generosity, unity, and shared humanity.
Rwanda is making progress towards adding nuclear power to its energy mix. An IAEA Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) mission recently visited Rwanda to assess the country’s progress in developing the infrastructure needed for a safe, secure and sustainable nuclear power programme.
Rwanda aims to have nuclear power supply 60–70% of its energy mix, with its first SMR expected to be operational in the early 2030s.
The mission’s recommendations will help Rwanda further strengthen its nuclear infrastructure and advance its readiness to introduce nuclear power in line with international safety standards and global best practices.

The sustainability of Rwanda's bilateral counter-terrorism deployment in Mozambique, if our forces are actually needed, depends on adequate, predictable funding.
This is what the European Peace Facility partly funds, and so far around €20m has been disbursed. The full cost to @RwandaGov is at least 10 times more, in addition to the ultimate sacrifice of loss of soldiers’ lives, all to stabilize Cabo Delgado.
Rwandan Forces went to Cabo Delgado in 2021 at the request of the Mozambican government, to work with a brotherly African country that needed the support, money was not the first consideration.
The results of this deployment are evident: civilians have returned to their homes, children are back in school, businesses reopened, mega foreign investments are secured.
To be clear, the work of RDF in countering terrorism in Cabo Delgado has benefitted the Mozambican people and the companies investing in LNG, and supporting that work is not a favor being granted to Rwanda.
Should the RDF Command assess that the work being done by Rwandan Security Forces in Cabo Delgado is not appreciated, they would be right to urge the government to end this bilateral counter-terrorism arrangement and pull out. @mattstephenhill
Happy Women’s Day!
“I urge you to carve your character carefully, define your boundaries, advocate for yourselves and other women and girls, and protect your physical and mental health. And please, love yourself with the same gentleness you give others – the same gentleness you wish and deserve to experience from the world.” - First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame
