We keep and show artifacts that would have been rejected. We are interested in cities' beautification and how to relate industry both to art and design
Ironheart Feeling: The Lady of Shalot and the Sun foundry, an iron sonnet found in North Devon. A George Smith design also seen at the Paisley Coats Fountain. A unique iron memorial bench on the esplanade, all others made of wood.
Beautiful and delicate door knocker on the mid 17thC courtyard door at Blickling Hall. The tiny horses head looking down and checking that you've wiped your feet as you lift it.

Ironheart Stained Glass: Was fitted on the foundry office at Cruikshank's Denny Foundry now in Falkirk Museum store. The largest ironfoundry in Denny which also had a steel furnace for stainless steel.
Lost furnaces of Ironheart; The mighty Georgie, the pig iron blast furnace at Carron Co. 'Blown out' c1960 as too much 'pig iron on the ground', in stock, combined with lots of scrap from slum clearances. Probably the last pig iron furnace in Scotland to close.
Never forget, if you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic. If you plan cities for people and places, you get people and places.
Plan for the city you want.

The symbol of the Trinacria in the center of the flag of Sicily, is also shown on one of the most beautiful cast iron candelabra documented by us in an in-depth research which lasted for several years and recently published in two subsequent issues of the magazine Arredo & Città
The Ironheart & Public Health mural: The Phoenix has arisen waving the flag of Esto Perpetua, the motto of Carron Co. This legendary furnace beast was last seen in Falkirk in 1959, for Carron Co's Bicentennial. This time seen in a Cauldron, a cast iron way of heating water
#IronworkThursday@SBlandfo more gates, pattern number 74 & railings pattern number 42 from the 3D ironwork catalogue that is #Kircudbright. Again #MacFarlane#Saracen#Foundry products. Also shows the effect of how different paint colours effect the impact of the ironwork.
