I find it genuinely shocking that not a single major American outlet has covered 16-year-old Palestinian American Muhammad Zaher Ibrahim, held in Israeli military detention since Feb for "throwing rocks." His parents are begging for help, and they have been completely ignored.

ALL EYES ON GAZA: With an impending ground invasion, the occupation deliberately targeted Aljazeera's media tent in Al-Shifa hospital today, killing journalists Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Quraiqa, and three other crew members in a a calculated assault aimed at silencing Gaza’s voice, severing its lifeline to the world. The Israeli military made a statement after the assassination, claiming responsibility for the intentional targeting of Anas.  Before he was martyred, Anas was warning about the impending ground invasion in to Gaza City, calling on the world to take action. Now, as the Israeli military prepares to push deeper into Gaza City, the assassination of these journalists serves a clear purpose: to ensure no one documents the atrocities ahead.

We call on all organizations, media sites, press unions, journalists, and supporters of justice worldwide to participate in a week of action for Gaza’s journalists and act now, before Gaza is wiped off the map. Organize at national and local media outlets in your city. Organize pickets, distribute posters and flyers and email outlets.
