Dear @GRVlagos
As opposed to the repeated criticisms and remarks directed at my person by a few irrelevant individuals, I take your own clarification as confirmation that there is no issue with being addressed by any of the names you have now personally identified. Fair enough!
Since assuming office as Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources in 2023, we have introduced and implemented several far-reaching initiatives aimed at improving environmental sustainability and public welfare in Lagos State. These include the execution of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international partners, the prohibition of materials that obstruct drainage channels, the removal of illegal structures and contraventions impeding the free flow of stormwater, among many other interventions.
Of course, we agree that more still needs to be done, and we remain committed to continuously improving our systems, processes, and interventions to better serve the people while we welcome constructive contributions and feedback from well-meaning Lagosians, whose insights play an important role in helping us achieve our shared vision for a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable state.
Interestingly, at virtually every stage of these reforms, you have consistently found reasons to oppose or criticize them, even when they have received broad commendation from stakeholders and objective observers. This approach mirrors the exact disposition of your political mentor.
For the record, several of the MoUs signed by the Lagos State Government are at the implementation stages, and in the coming weeks, Lagosians will begin to witness tangible outcomes from these strategic partnerships. We are confident that these initiatives will deliver significant benefits to the state and its residents.
Constructive criticism remains an important part of public discourse. However, it is equally important to acknowledge progress and commend worthwhile initiatives when they yield positive results. A balanced perspective serves the public interest far better than perpetual cynicism.
Aburo, come down from your imaginary high horse. There is so much to learn, and to learn, you must be humble enough to acknowledge and admit your usual ignorance.
Cheers!
Dear Dipo @dipoistall
Thank you for your feedback.
I am quite certain that, like many others, you may have missed the context of the conversation, so permit me to briefly summarize it.
In Physics, one of the fundamental principles is Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which states that for every action, there is an equal and corresponding reaction. As such, when individuals engage with us objectively and respectfully, they are met with the same courtesy and civility. However, when someone chooses a different approach, as was the case here, they should reasonably expect a response in kind.
I am not one of those public servants who shy away from confronting misinformation, misrepresentation, or attempts at intimidation!
On the issue of bigotry, I am curious as to how referring to someone by their given name could be construed as such. My full name is Adetokunbo Philip Wahab, and anyone is free to address me by any of those names.
Thank you.
Dear Chinedu @GRVlagos
I have no interest in descending into the mudslinging and distractions you appear to thrive on. My focus remains on the important work before us - supporting the efforts of the Lagos State Government to ensure the safety, well-being, and prosperity of Lagosians.
If being committed to public service, good governance, and the protection of the interests and heritage of Lagosians is what you choose to describe as bigotry, then I make no apologies for standing firmly by those principles. Public service is not a tea party - but how can you know what it entails? Nemo dat quod non habet.
For the sake of clarity, I would advise you, in your saner moments, to acquaint yourself with my record in public service - from my appointment as Special Adviser on Education to Mr. Governor in 2019 to my present tour of duty at the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources. The record is public, and it speaks for itself.
As for the labels and accusations, I will leave others to judge them on their merits. I have no intention of engaging in personal attacks or trading insults with a political nomad driven by ignorance and needless hatred.
I wish you all the best.

When we took the difficult but necessary decision to ban Styrofoam and commence the transition away from Single-Use Plastics (SUPs), our objective was clear: to move Lagos State from the decades-old linear waste management model of “pick and dump” to a more sustainable, circular economy where waste is recognized as a valuable resource.
While a certain political nomad chose to dismiss and politicize these reforms, ranting all over the internet, we remained focused on the long-term environmental and economic benefits of our policies. Today, I am pleased to state that we are fully committed to this vision. In a matter of weeks, over 4,250 tonnes of municipal solid waste generated daily in Lagos will increasingly be transformed into wealth-creating resources rather than ending up in landfills.
We are equally encouraged by the success of initiatives such as the Ikosi Fruit Biodigester, a direct outcome of our waste-to-resource policy, which we are now preparing to replicate across the state. In addition, our partnership with Lafarge is enabling the diversion of combustible waste from landfills for use as an alternative fuel source in industrial operations.
We do not underestimate the challenges associated with waste management in a megacity such as Lagos. However, we are addressing these challenges methodically, strategically, and with a clear roadmap for sustainable outcomes. Progress may not always be immediately visible to those who choose to view every policy through a political lens, but the results are beginning to speak for themselves.
Our commitment remains unwavering: building a cleaner, greener, and more resilient Lagos for present and future generations.

Dear Peter Obi,
I'm afraid I have to disagree with your assessment of why there are a large number of prisoners of Nigerian origin in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
This situation is not the result of a "systemic crisis", as you put it, or any failure of the Nigerian government, and the administration of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, as you indicated.
I have been to Ethiopia over fifty times, and if you fact-check me, I have publicly advocated for these prisoners long before their rescue by the Tinubu administration.
You, on the other hand, have NEVER advocated for them. Yet, instead of appreciating the Tinubu administration for rescuing our valued citizens imprisoned in Ethiopia, you are trying to blame the President for their plight, when most of these prisoners were convicted before Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu became President.
The overwhelming majority of them are in Kaliti Prison, Ethiopia, for drug-related offences.
Poor people do not buy narcotics and airline tickets for transatlantic flights.
This indicates that greed for money, rather than any failing of the Tinubu government or Nigerian society, as you implied, is responsible for their plight.
The Federal Republic of Somalia's economic and security situation is far below Nigeria's, and Somalia shares a border with Ethiopia.
If your postulation against Nigeria was correct, then Ethiopian prisons should be full of Somalians "in search of green pastures", to use your words. But that is not the case.
If you really cared about poverty, you would have built schools, but you failed to build a single nursery, primary, secondary school, or university during your eight-year tenure as Anambra Governor.
I would urge you, sir, to please refrain from politicising every issue in your desperation to become President.
If you cannot appreciate this noble gesture on the part of President Bola Tinubu and Her Excellency, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, then please do not complicate their as-yet unfinished work by imputing wrong motives to it.
Allow our brothers and sisters to return home without poking your nose where it does not belong.

Peter Obi is an irredeemable bigot.
He know the name Abike Dabiri doesn't sit well with his fellow Biafran apologist hence he avoided her in the appreciation despite being the one with the most direct involvement in this issue since few years ago.
Secondly, Peter Obi reduced the crimes of these people who are majorly drug traffickers to mere border trespass.
Read from him:
"The overwhelming majority of these citizens are young Nigerians. A significant number were arrested while transiting through Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport in search of green pastures."
This is all in an attempt to cover up for his brothers who dominated 99% of the list for drug related offences.
This is the saviour of Nigeria?
You mean Peter Obi was disrespectful too?
Azikwe was also disrespectful?
Chinua Achebe was also disrespectful?
Ojukwu too?
You want enough receipts of where they called themselves Ibo?
Wait a minute! How come you didn't find Yariba disrespectful for us and it's Ibo you're finding disrespectful?
You're from Edo blah blah...
Completely devoid of history and jumping into a matter you have zero knowledge of.
Ibo is their name and let the Ibo people come and tell us it's not.
Mind your business!
I found this video very interesting, because it is not coming from a Northerner nor is it coming from a Muslim.
I pray you will and understand it better from brethren.
This is a terrible misinformation and lies from the deepest pit of hell.
First, Bilāl wasn't the Prophet's slave, rather he was a noble companion of his.
Second, he didn't become a Muslim to be freed, rather, he was freed because he became a Muslim.
When Bilāl began to profess monotheism, his owner subjected him to torture and it was at a time while he was being tortured under the scorching sun with a rock place on this belle and having to endure the burning sun and the heat of the sun surging through the rock and through him. As if that was not enough, he was being whipped as he laid helplessly under the heavy rock. He could barely breathe but he would not be silenced. He would not stop saying Allah is One (and only worthy of worship). It was in this predicament Abubakrinis siddīq bought his freedom and thenceforth became a free man.
Third, on the issue of being the caller to prayer, Bilāl wasn't the only one. There were 4 others. Although he was the first. And when the incident of call to prayer began, it wasn't Bilāl who was directly involved but he was taught due to his unique voice.
The speaker seemed to be uninformed and looking down on the status of a Mu'adhdhin. If he knew about it, he would not be bluffing this way.
Fourth, on the fallacy of black Muslims not going to Jannah, the irony outweighs the coincidence that when the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wassallam was shown Jannah, it was the footsteps of Bilāl he was hearing almost as if he would precede the Prophet alayhis salaam in entering Jannah.
And when the prophet asked Bilāl about it, he said 'why have you preceded me in Jannah?'
Bilāl replied that he is always in a state of ablution and whenever his ablution became invalidated, he would renew it and make 2 raka'ah. The prophet confirmed to him that the act had taken him (Bilāl) to jannah.
Two things here:
1. Bilāl was a devout
2. Righteousness has nothing to do with skin colour. Supported by texts.
And to this end, saying black Muslims won't make heaven is an unfounded claim.
Lastly, I won't be saying anything on taqiyyah because enough has been said on it and despite that, they still wallow in willful ignorance.
This appears to me to be an obsession with the Muslims. Muslims do not, and have no reason to convene a congregation of unsuspecting people and lie to them about Christianity on things that can be easily known with little or no research/ web search. Nobody is forcing anyone to become a Muslim and all these need to stop.
May Allah be pleased with Bilāl and the generality of the companions.
I hope you all know that the financial expiation for unnecessarily aborting a pregnancy after 4 months (ensoulment) is now 42 million naira minimum. And if you cannot afford it, the alternative is 60 days of consecutive fasting. I said I should remind you.
Peter Obi has gifted us another quote - Let us examine it
"In the UK, I once secured a loan without a physical collateral just my degrees. In Nigeria, I will never get such loan, they would have demanded my late parent's properties" Peter Abacha Obi.
Let's set aside the fact that PAO got 3rd class in Philosophy and only 2 credits in WAEC, so there is no intellectual capital to brag with.
That aside.
This same fellow has endlessly boasted of being Chairman over hundreds of commercial banks in Nigeria, why has he not influenced those banks to offer uncollateralized loans to young Nigerian businessmen?
An elder who claims to own the river should not complain about thirst.
“Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.” - Proverbs 29:20
Our brother talks in volumes and think in whispers - Reason his actions will always be the loudest rebuttal of his words. A man whose lips run faster than his thoughts will always stumble over his own sentences.
Good Afternoon Severally...
1. I worked as a journalist for good 10 years where I earned everything that matters in my life today.
2. I worked for an American NGO, where I earned in dollars until 2018 when I joined Sanwo-Olu at campaign.
3. That you are unfortunate to have grown up bitter doesn’t mean everyone out there shares your family’s generational miseries.
4. Sick people like you should always try to have understanding of issues before jumping on them.
Suffice to say that installation of solar panels in govt-owned estates is an alteration that cannot be permitted in advance based on the agreement on indemnity form; permits have to be issued after application for alteration by occupants.
Instead of you hopeless moron to calm down, you rather chose to be unfortunate on a matter that’s beyond your comprehension. Obo 🤡
One thing I enjoy doing is bursting useless propaganda aimed at a goal.😂😂😂😂.
Kwara elected Cornelius Adebayo, a Christian in 1983.
Kwara is a majority-Muslim state.
Ondo and Ekiti have never elected a Muslim as Governor since (1976 & 1996).
Ekiti is so worse that it has only had a Single Muslim Deputy Governor. Alhaji Sikiru Tae Lawal.
Ekiti does Christian-Christian tickets with their full chests.
Ondo has only had two Muslim Deputy Governors. And it was during Segun Mimiko's term in office.
Alhaji Ali Olanusi from Feb 2009-April 2015.
After impeachment, he was replaced with Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo. From April 2015-February 2017, when Mimiko's term expired.
Ondo before Mimiko, and after Mimiko does Christian-Christian tickets with their full chests.
One should ask using your logic.
Are there no other religions in Ondo and Ekiti?

BREAKING: "Igbos Behind ₦480bn Meth Cartel" – NDLEA Busts Igbo-Mexican Drug Ring in Ogun Forest, Exposes Deadly Plot Against Nigerian Youth
The NDLEA has uncovered a massive drug cartel operating from Abidagba forest, Ogun State, led by Igbo kingpin Anochili Innocent and his mostly Igbo network, with three Mexican collaborators. The cartel was producing methamphetamine worth over ₦480 billion, enough to destroy countless lives, families, and communities.
Among those arrested are Nwankwo Sunday Christian, Igwe Abuchi Remijus, Ifeanyichukwu Chibuike Joshua, and Egwuonwu Uchenna Victor – all Igbos. This is not a northern problem. This is not a Yoruba problem. This is an Igbo-run cartel deliberately flooding Nigeria with deadly drugs while claiming victimhood in other spheres.
