How can such specific reports suddenly become fake news after Kenyans reacted badly, yet the details were too clear, too structured and too conveniently linked to SACCO money, infrastructure funding and government’s growing hunger for private savings.

Was this a bad experiment to test how Kenyans would react if Treasury started walking toward SACCO funds, or was it another Kenya Kwanza communication mess where one office throws a grenade and another office runs behind it with a fake news bucket.

We are glad they have denied it, but the real message is simple, because Kenyans do not want government anywhere near SACCO savings, M-Pesa balances, bank deposits, pension money or any private shilling citizens are still holding after taxes and deductions.
