—Tahajjud prayer is a special voluntary (nafl) prayer that is performed in the last third of the night. It holds great spiritual significance in Islam and is highly recommended for those seeking closeness to Allah.
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station
🔑 Features of Tahajjud Prayer
—Time:
The best time for Tahajjud is during the final third of the night before the Fajr (dawn) prayer. This is considered a time of divine mercy and forgiveness.
—You should wake up after having slept for a portion of the night.
—Number of Rak'ahs:
There is no fixed number of rak'ahs, but it is typically prayed in pairs (2 rak'ahs at a time). The Prophet (PBUH) would often pray 8 rak'ahs or more.
—Intention (Niyyah):
Make a sincere intention in your heart to pray Tahajjud for the sake of Allah.
—Recitation:
You can recite any surah after Surah Al-Fatiha, though longer surahs are encouraged if you can manage.
—Dua and Supplication:
After completing your prayer, spend time in heartfelt dua (supplication), asking Allah for guidance, forgiveness, and blessings. The last third of the night is considered a powerful time for accepted duas.
Rabbana taqabbal minnaa innaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem
“Mola wetu, kubali hii] kutoka kwetu. Hakika Wewe ni Mwenye Kusikia, Mwenye Kujua.”
– 2:127 –
Matumizi :
Rabbana laa tu’aakhiznaaa in naseenaaa aw akhtaanaa
Mola wetu, usituhesabie makosa yetu ikiwa tumesaahu au tumekosea.
– 2:286 –

Rabbana wa laa tahmil-‘alainaaa isran kamaa hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa
Mola wetu, wala usitubebeshe mzigo kama ule uliowabebesha wale waliotutangulia.
– 2:286 –
Matumizi :

THE LAST 10 DAYS OF RAMADAN 📍
The last ten days of Ramadan hold significant spiritual importance for Muslims worldwide. These days are particularly special because they include Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree), which is described in the Qur'an as "better than a thousand months"
—(Qur'an 97:3).
1. Increased Worship (Ibadah):
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) intensified his prayers, Qur'an recitation, and supplications during this period.
As narrated by Aisha (RA):
"With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet (pbuh) used to tighten his waist belt (meaning he would work hard) and used to pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers."
—(Bukhari)
2. Laylatul Qadr (Night of Decree):
This night occurs in one of the odd nights of the last ten days (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th).
Allah says in the Qur'an:
"Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months."
—(Qur'an 97:1-3)
3. Dua and Seeking Forgiveness:
Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet (ﷺ):
"O Messenger of Allah! If I know which night is the Night of Qadr, what should I say during it?"
He replied:
"Say: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni" (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)."
—(Tirmidhi)
4. I'tikaf (Spiritual Seclusion):
The Prophet (pbuh) regularly observed I'tikaf in the mosque during the last ten days, dedicating himself entirely to worship.
"The Prophet (pbuh) used to perform I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah took his soul."
—(Bukhari)
5. Charity and Good Deeds:
Muslims are encouraged to give generously, as deeds are multiplied in reward during this period.
Recommended Practices for the Last 10 Days
Perform extra Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers.
Increase your Qur'an recitation and reflect on its meanings.
Engage in frequent dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and dua.
Seek out Laylatul Qadr by being consistent in worship every night.
Imagine earning the reward of over 83 years of worship in a single night — this is the immense blessing of Laylatul Qadr.
