أهذا حقًّا ما كان ينتظرني؟

في أي لحظة، كان من الممكن أن أكون شهيدًا وأنا أنقل المشهد والصورة، وأحاول إيصال الحقيقة إلى العالم. لكنني اليوم أجد نفسي، بكل أسف، مفصولًا من قناة الجزيرة دون سابق إنذار.

أنا الناجي الوحيد من استهداف خيمة قناة الجزيرة عند بوابة مستشفى الشفاء، والذي استُشهد فيه الزملاء الصحفيون أنس الشريف، ومحمد قريقع، ومحمد نوفل، وإبراهيم ظاهر، ومؤمن عليوة، مساء الأحد، 10 أغسطس 2025.

منذ بداية الحرب، عملت مصورًا مع مراسل الجزيرة الشهيد أنس الشريف، ثم مع الشهيدين أنس الشريف ومحمد قريقع بعد إصابة الزميل فادي الوحيدي، وواصلت عملي مع القناة بعد استشهادهما، رغم المخاطر والظروف الصعبة.

لم يكن هذا العمل مجرد وظيفة، بل كان مصدر رزقي الوحيد، وسندي في إعالة نفسي وعائلتي، كما كان رسالة آمنت بها: أن أواصل حمل الحقيقة التي كتبها زملاؤنا بدمائهم، ودفعوا أرواحهم ثمنًا لإيصالها إلى العالم.

لكن مكالمة لم تتجاوز خمس عشرة ثانية كانت كفيلة بإنهاء كل شيء.

أبلغتني إدارة الجزيرة بإنهاء عملي، دون توضيح أي سبب، أو إشعار مسبق، أو دفع مستحقاتي، وحتى دون كلمة شكر واحدة.

وكأن كل ما قدمناه، وكل ما خاطرنا به، وكل ما فقدناه في هذا الطريق، لا يساوي لديهم أكثر من كوب ماء بارد في فصل الشتاء.

أنا لا أكتب هذه الكلمات بحثًا عن التعاطف، بل لأن ما حدث معي لا يليق بتضحيات من بقوا في الميدان، ولا بدماء من رحلوا وهم يحملون الكاميرا والكلمة.

Marwa El-Sherbini wurde nur 31 Jahre alt. Der Täter war ein Neonazi. Sie hatte ihn angezeigt, weil er sie auf einem Spielplatz beleidigt und bedroht hat. Marwa war zu dem Zeitpunkt im dritten Monat schwanger!

Am 1. Juli 2009 wurde Marwa El-Sherbini in einem Gerichtssaal vor den Augen ihres Mannes und ihres dreijährigen Sohnes ermordet. Und trotzdem diskutiert man im Jahr 2026 immer noch darüber, ob es so etwas wie antimuslimischen Rassismus gibt.

What I find strange is how shocked people abroad seem to be by the idea that so many Gazans want to leave and build a better future elsewhere.
They want Gaza to remain a myth. A place filled with heroic, larger-than-life people who can endure anything.
But Gazans are not superheroes.
They are ordinary human beings, just like everyone else. They get exhausted. They break. They dream of safety, stability, and a future for their children.
The problem is that many people prefer the legend. They want Gaza to be a story of endless resilience, populated by people who can survive anything no matter the cost.
But that version of Gaza exists mainly in their imagination.
The reality is far simpler: these are human beings. And human beings have limits.
Perhaps the myth is easier to admire from afar. After all, legends are inspiring to watch. Living them is something else entirely.

I still cannot process what I heard today… it felt like stepping into something unreal. What is happening here must be told exactly as it is, because staying silent is no longer an option.

I went with my friend to a nearby camp to document the spread of rats, but what we found was far beyond a simple report. People there do not sleep at night. They stay awake for hours, watching over their children, afraid that the rats might reach them. Fear has become part of their daily lives, and exhaustion is written on every face.

Rats enter the tents through small openings, attacking the little food people have, tearing their clothes, and sometimes reaching their bodies while they sleep. I saw injuries and signs of infection, and I heard stories that are impossible to bear. One of them was about a bride preparing for her wedding, only for a rat to destroy her clothes… small details that reveal the scale of this tragedy.

There are no means to fight this, no poison, no solutions. The situation is getting worse day by day, and we are heading toward a real catastrophe. We need urgent intervention, we need caravans and safe shelter to protect people… because what is happening here is no longer bearable.
