🚨MASSIVE sectional tournament win tonight! The boys flipped the switch late in the game and turned up to beat St. Charles East 12-6. We play again in the semis tomorrow night.

The boys celebrated senior night with a big varsity win over Hinsdale South. Congrats to all of our seniors and lots of appreciation for all the hard work they’ve put in over the years. We play at Naperville Central tomorrow for our final game of the regular season.

🚨Hard fought conference win for varsity last night against Waubonsie:
Varsity: 9-7 (Metea)
JV: 3-13 (Waubonsie)
Varsity was tied up late in the game but consecutive clutch shots from Yehia El Touny sealed the deal.

Varsity:2-12 (Central)
JV: 1-9 (Central)

Things got scrappy in our varsity matchup but the mustangs stayed cool and came out on top.

Our final senior is Drew Montemayor. He will be attending the University of Alabama and will study Economics and Finance. His favorite memory’s are of the tournament shenanigans (building forts, water bottle fights and playing baseball or kickball).

Jeremy Lewis is our next senior. He will be attending Iowa State and will study software engineering. His favorite memory’s are the Niles North tournament and hanging out after practice during spring break.

Starting back up with senior Danny Bereman. He will be attending the University of Iowa at the Tippie School of Businesses. He will enter undecided. His favorite memory is the Stevenson tournament his sophomore year.

Our Next senior is Brandon Boyer. He will be attending DePaul University where he will study Computer Science and Data Science. His favorite memory is new people/ friends.

Will Raskovich is our fifth senior. He will be attending Western Michigan University and will study Engineering. His favorite memory was in his junior year, we built a fort in one of the tournament host school's locker room. It was a fun place to hang out in between games.

Next is our manager Katie Leslie. She will be attending Illinois State University where she will study nursing. Her favorite memory is taking stats at the first (last) game of the season and celebrating JV and Varsity wins!

Matt Bereman is our next senior. He will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He will study advertising. His favorite memory is scoring on Jimmy in practice.

Next we have senior Alex Lafferty. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison where he will study finance. His favorite memory is playing games, eating food, and watching movies in between games at the Mustang Varsity Tournament.

Our first senior is Jimmy Cronin. He will be attending McKendree University where he will continue is water polo career and enter undecided. His favorite memory is the comeback victory against St. Charles North during sectionals last year.

This week we will be honoring our seniors who’s seasons were cut short.

I’ve had a lot of players reaching out wanting a few at home workouts. Being stuck inside is no reason to not get better and be working on your athletic foundation. These workouts can be done with your body weight around the home.
