A Manhattan therapist who founded an LGBTQ practice has been indicted for anally raping two patients in the office he ran. A second therapist there is charged with r*ping a teen patient

Joseph LoGiudice founded Liberation Psychotherapy. He led the gay men’s group. The patients came to him for therapy.

One was in his 30s. He was there because he had just been s*xually assaulted. Prosecutors say he told LoGiudice he did not want sex. He was recovering from surgery on his anus.

Prosecutors say LoGiudice kissed him, closed the blinds, and had oral and anal s*x with him in the office. Then told him not to tell his private therapist.

A second time in that office, prosecutors say LoGiudice anally r*ped him.

The patient had panic attacks. He reported it on August 18, 2026.

The second patient came in for an abusive relationship. Prosecutors say LoGiudice told him he was attractive and commented on his penis.

November 2025, prosecutors say he texted that patient: “When can I suck on that d—k.”

Judge Cori Weston set bail at $100,000 cash.

September 16. Another therapist at that same practice. Remington Yhap, 47. Indicted for r*ping a teenage patient. The DA says the patient was a 17-year-old transgender boy.

The DA says the teen started therapy in September 2025.

Prosecutors say Yhap sent him explicit photos and videos, exposed his penis on a video session, and asked the teen to send explicit photos back.

June 2026. Prosecutors say he r*ped the teen during an in-person session. The teen reported it the next month.

One of LoGiudice’s patients came forward after hearing about Yhap.

Two therapists. One practice. One charged with r*ping adult patients. One indicted for raping a teenage patient.

South Carolina gave a man charged with attempted murder a $15,000 bond and an ankle monitor.

That's it.

Police say he used that freedom to stab a man to death, then cut the monitor off.

Jaylon Holmes, 18, of Columbia:

- Sept 2025: charged with attempted murder and a weapons charge at age 17.

- Released on a $15,000 bond with an ankle monitor.

- Sept 29, 2026: police say he stabbed a man to death on Moonglo Circle.

- Then he allegedly cut off his monitor and hid in a storage room until police found him.

He's now charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and he's waiting on a bond hearing.

Read that last part again.

A man charged with murder, while out on bond for attempted murder, is getting another bond hearing.

An ankle monitor doesn't stop anyone.

🚨Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed landed a $9,000-a-month consulting contract with Wayne County just six days after launching his campaign, allowing him to bill taxpayers roughly $300 an hour while running for office, the Free Beacon’s Alana Goodman reports.

Public records obtained by the Free Beacon show that Wayne County approved the deal on April 23, less than three weeks after El-Sayed resigned as director of its health services department. The eight-month contract authorized up to $72,000 for 30 hours of work per month providing “strategic support” during the leadership transition.

The payments were routed through AME Higher LLC, an entity El-Sayed created as a pass-through for consulting and speaking fees. “The news comes as El-Sayed has faced questions over his use of a tax loophole to avoid payroll and income taxes on payments he received through AME Higher LLC,” Goodman writes. His latest financial disclosure shows that he paid himself a $64,000 salary from the company and took another $103,000 as a “member draw,” a common strategy for avoiding payroll taxes, accountants told the Free Beacon.

The Wayne County deal was not El-Sayed’s only consulting work during the campaign. He has also collected more than $82,000 from One Health Partners, a Chicago-area nonprofit health care company that former employees have called a “scam.” The Free Beacon reported that the company focuses on buying medical practices and “exploiting Medicare” to increase revenue. It is run by Ali Karim, one of El-Sayed’s largest campaign donors, who was sanctioned by Wisconsin regulators for defrauding an investor and has been accused of fraudulent business practices in multiple lawsuits.

El-Sayed has bragged about his two-year tenure running Wayne County’s health department on the campaign trail, claiming he “led the rebuild from the studs” of its troubled juvenile detention facility. Investigators, however, found the facility “flooded with sewage and garbage” and littered with “dried feces and bodily fluids.” The facility later lost its full operational license and was placed on probation by state regulators.

There were sexual-assault allegations involving Letitia James herself. The accuser was Angel DuBose, a former employee of James’s NYC Public Advocate’s Office.

On her own fundraising page, DuBose alleged she was “kidnapped and assaulted by James and several members of her staff” following a December 2014 office holiday party.

According to Frank Parlato’s reporting, DuBose alleged she was drugged, restrained by staffers and placed semi-conscious in James’s official car. She said James was beside her and asked, “Is she out?”

Parlato also reported that DuBose described a subsequent group sexual assault and identified James and Ibrahim Khan among those present.

Those are DuBose’s allegations. James’s office denied the original allegations, and the Manhattan district attorney declined to bring charges.
