@johncutlefish I got about half-way to building this in snap; seems straightforward and could be worth finishing -- only if others are willing to try it out :)
@johncutlefish how about a snap (video) filter that injects a stopwatch that tracks each individual's talk time, and turns g/y/r as you begin to ramble/dominate the conversation

It seems the architecture didn't suffer from the cost of data transfer so much as it suffered from the way AWS charges for calls to S3 buckets, or for Step Function state transitions.
