We are in a season where there has to be an extra dose of vigilance from shepherds. Over the past almost 20yrs pastoring the same church in the same city, I’ve seen a lot. I’ve seen mass closings of churches. Church plants closing and church planters leaving churches. I’ve seen spaces that were known for truth become havens for harboring error and those in error. I’ve seen a rise in false teaching and a decline in discernment.

This season needs shepherds who have the grace to stand up under the scrutiny of preaching the whole counsel of YHWH. Today you have to play the long game. Churches usually don’t grow fast preaching the truth, but what it will do whether it grows fast or not is set the stage for healthy disciples. I’ve seen many fads in the church over the last 30yrs of ministry, but one thing that never dies and is an ancient means that was used by the prophets, apostles, and the Messiah is staying the course.

Only those who want Christ centered, exegetically sound, expositionally faithful preaching and teaching big up this. Let’s keep it a buck. Many in these pulpit and pew streets are on some major playing when it comes to the biblically real. It’s giving ted talk/motivational preaching/declarations. We gotta be on this real! True shepherds, stand firm!!! Come on remnant, let’s ride!!!

Pray that I walk in love, grace and truth. Pray I take heed less I fall! There is much coming down the pike prayers please? Please pray for may purity and other shepherds trying to lead with integrity.

Last night, the Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job. Warrants have been signed and justice will be served.

This was an unfortunate incident which never should have occurred. As our police department investigates these intolerable actions, we should not become desensitized to violence of any kind in our community. Those who choose violence will be held accountable by our criminal justice system.
