The fight to save the 8th Wonder of the World; Maasai Mara ecosystem against hotels like @RitzCarlton@Marriott and Many others which are established in Wildlife corridors which is interfering with their existence is still on. The Demand is simple, Demolish the hotels & camps.
I posted about the Masai Mara Ritz Carlton story in July this year.
William Ruto went there pretending to be launching wildebeests,
While the real thing was the launch of a hotel which has been illegally built along the Wildebeests corridor blocking Wildbeest migration.
The thief from Sugoi came to steal, to kill and to destroy.
#RutoMustGo #DrainTheSwamp
A major development in the Maasai Mara case, and it’s deeply alarming.
The Maasai elder leading the fight to protect the Great Migration corridors has been legally gagged after Marriott’s lawyers pushed for a gag order.
Yes. Silenced in court. Why?
Because his campaign is gaining global attention, and the respondents argued his voice is “too influential.”
Instead of addressing environmental destruction, they’ve chosen to silence the messenger.
The Ritz-Carlton Mara - built by Marriott - is accused of violating Kenya’s environmental law:
🚫 too close to the Sand River
🚫 blocking wildlife corridors
🚫 ignoring local community consultation
The Maasai, led by Dr. Meitamei Olol Dapash, took them to court.
They didn’t ask for pity…only justice.
On October 22, Marriott & partners tried to move the case to private arbitration - behind closed doors. The judge said NO.
“This case stays public, where the world can watch.”
So, we need to talk about The Mara and what’s happening there.
It began with a fence in the Maasai Mara.
Where elephants once crossed freely, a luxury lodge now stands.
They called it a “front-row seat to the Great Migration.”
But what happens when the front row becomes the wall?

Ukiingia X first order of business is to remind @RitzCarlton and @Marriott that they are destroying our ecosystem in the Mara by building on a migratory corridor and they should stop immediately! #StopJWMinMaasaiMara
