Sometimes I wish I could be more of a go along to get along type of person when it comes to dating. But I just cannot force myself to force things when I don’t connect in an organic and genuine way and I think I really be missing out on some good ppl because of that.
The more self-regulated you become, the more you realize that communicating your feelings isn’t an emergency. You can sit with it. Sleep on it. Let the wave pass. You don’t have to rush into expression just because the emotion feels loud.
waiting for somebody to change & they keep disappointing you, eventually that turns into resentment & that’s exactly where i’m at. you get tired of people.
Lately, I’ve realized my tolerance for people being careless with my feelings has grown very thin. I’m becoming more aware of who considers how their actions affect me and who doesn’t. Yes It hurts, especially when it comes from people I believed we shared a deeper understanding.
But this awareness isn’t about resentment, it’s about clarity. I’m learning to protect my peace, set better boundaries, and invest my energy where care and respect are mutual.
I don’t think people understand that you can literally drive someone to a point of not wanting to be bothered with you at all, on any level. Whether it is a friendship, relationship, or family. It’s only so much one person can take.
Each person acts from their level of understanding, maturity, intelligence, empathy and upbringing, their problem isn't with you, it's with their own reasoning.
Whatever you do, make sure you end up with a kind partner. There will be days when love will not be enough, but a kind person is a kind person regardless.
And like Miley Cyrus said:
“I didn’t talk badly about you—I talked about what you did to me. If that makes you look bad, that’s not my problem anymore.”
this has arguably been the most challenging start of the year i’ve encountered so far. some parts feel heavy, some feel tender, some feel uncertain, some feel delightful. it’s like everything is everywhere all at once.
