When General Rabe was kidnapped with his wife, he spent two weeks in the hands of kidnappers. No special rescue team was announced. A follow up video was even released showing his swollen legs from snake bite. Still no special forest raiding operation. But the moment he got killed & started trending on social media, they quickly announced launching a special forest raiding operation to find kidnappers. They didn’t launch the special operation immediately he was kidnapped, they didn’t do it when the snake bite video was released. It was after he died, when the criticisms on the government were too much that they quickly decided to start special raiding operation. A special operation that achieved absolutely zero result cos Kachalla Maha is still out there terrorizing Northern villages.

The politicization of human lives is one of the unforgibeable sins of this disasterous administration.

There have been gunshots and kidnappings every single day in millennium city for weeks, the police never made any arrests. The governor did not even acknowledge the insecurity talk more of announcing measures. Bandits even had the audacity to kill a wealthy fulani man and move about 50 of his cows to the forest with zero arrest made. But less than 24hrs after Ahmad’s video started trending all over social media with heavy criticism on the government, the Kaduna Police have suddenly stormed social media with news of “arrested” kidnappers.

I don’t know who advises Fati Muhammad, but if you throw your former benefactor under the bus just to please your new benefactors, bear in mind that the latter will begin to see you as a potential betrayer. It is human to fall out with people over political alliances, differences or preferences, and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. What matters is how you conduct yourself when those relationships change.

The past few years, for me, have been an education in managing complex relationships, particularly in refusing to take sides whenever my former and current principals or benefactors find themselves at odds. I know, for a fact, that the day I sit down to disparage and tear apart a former benefactor just to ingratiate myself with a current one, the latter will begin to question my character, my principles and whether I am someone whose loyalty and discretion can be trusted.

There was an instance when I sensed some friction between my current boss and a former boss, and I decided to visit the latter to enquire what was truly going on. He acknowledged that the narratives surrounding their supposed feud had been exaggerated and assured me that there was nothing to be apprehensive about. I nevertheless told him that I had no desire to be caught in the middle of any disagreement between them. He played down my concerns and assured me that I had nothing to worry about.

One of the first conditions I place on the table whenever I form new allegiances is a personal red line: I will not descend to the indignity of antagonising a former benefactor simply to please a current one. Where I disagree with a former benefactor, I will do so respectfully and on the strength of my convictions, rather than as a performance of loyalty to someone else.

Anyone with a reasonable understanding of human nature knows that no discerning person would invest their trust in someone who makes a spectacle of vilifying a former benefactor simply to curry favour with a new one. The person applauding your betrayal today is also taking notes on what you are capable of doing to them tomorrow.

Security Update: Millennium City Incident.

The security situation in Millennium City has crossed all lines of human endurance. Following yesterday's brazen invasion of multiple houses in the area, the cruelty of these criminals has hit a sickening new high.

The kidnappers have slammed impossible ransoms on the abducted neighbors, they are demanding 500 Million Naira for a neighbor's wife, and another 350 Million Naira for the other victim and his family.
Where are families supposed to pull hundreds of millions of naira from? How did human lives become commodities for these elements to trade with absolute impunity?

This is an urgent SOS to the government and security chiefs. Our neighborhoods are bleeding, and innocent families are being torn apart. We need immediate intervention, tracking, and the safe rescue of all abducted victims.

Bandits will ride a bike from bush to town and attack innocent residents, kidnap them, make phone calls and demand ransom.

Two days after, they’ll still do the same.

Few days after, they’ll repeat same.
