@HMRCcustomers Tax Free Childcare - Made two payments last week. Cleared funds is showing nearly 0 as a result but nothing showing on my transactions and providers do not have cash yet. Is there a timeline to fix this problem or are you just asking us to suck up the delay?

I actually just got opinion polled for the general election. One of the questions was a list of issues to choose those that are influencing my decision. I realised it's none of them, my vote this time is all about values and ethics rather than any sort of formal "issue".

@CalAliwell Wouldn't know for sure, but you can generally charge private clients whatever you want, and given the NHS are generally among the least valuable financially - possibly.

@CalAliwell Also the NHS for us at least is the one that tends to try and avoid any sort of annual uplift, where as councils at least tend to give an incremental rise each year, even if tending to be below inflation.

@CalAliwell It depends. We for example have committed to charge private clients the same, however many care organisations typically charge a 50%+ premium for private clients.

Bumped into one of the worst workplace bullies I ever met early in my career (a trustee) who was in front of me in the queue at the pharmacy. Hasn't really changed as he actually walked around the counter to force the pharmacist to give him drugs he couldn't - and he got them!
