Dura lex, sed lex is admission that the governing rules of an elite to keep their power in society cannot be questioned or altered without their permission.
People will look you dead in the eye and tell you to "have respect" for a person who has spent their entire career making sure YOU don't get to live an equal and happy life, or live at all.
Remembering “Dear City” by Conchitina Cruz in times like these:
“Dear City, explain your irreverence: in you, rain is a visitor with nowhere to go. Where is the ground that knows only the love of water? Where are the passageways to your heart?”
i need my international mutuals to know that THE PRESIDENT OF INDONESIA GAVE THE CHIEF OF THE POLICE FORCE AND THE COMMANDER OF THE ARMED FORCES PERMISSION TO ESCALATE VIOLENCE ON CIVILIANS!
Your enemy is not Javanese, Tionghua, Sundanese, Dayak, Batak and whatever ethnicity. Your enemy is not Catholicism, Protestant, Muslim, Buddhism, Kong Fu Cu, Hinduism and other religions.
Your enemy is those elites on the top. Unite in diversy - Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
🇮🇩 #Indonesia: More violent riots erupted in Indonesia two hours ago, with another video circulating that shows a man being rammed by a police car.
The most violent unrest has been reported in Jakarta and Solo City, where an ojol driver (an online motorcycle taxi providing transport and delivery) was shot by the Brimob police battalion, a unit trained for riot control and counter-terrorism operations.

🇮🇩 #Indonesia: Major anti-government protests have erupted this week in Indonesia, with hundreds of students and workers marching through Jakarta demanding higher wages, lower taxes, and fairer economic conditions.
What began as a largely organised labour and student-led movement quickly escalated today after security forces responded with extreme force. Witnesses report rubber bullets fired at point-blank range and widespread beatings, while videos circulating online show a police vehicle driving directly into crowds of protesters.
