@eraykaan667@LuigiXP i knew dan obliquely from summer camp and what i can say is that actually all these things make perfect sense in conjunction if you hang out with him for like twenty minutes
the government having control over which traits to promote/discourage, or who should get to bear offspring—that would risk immense abuse. letting parents make childbearing choices is like. good even.
@Spitflyer an individual parent selecting for their own children's traits is not so different than that parent selecting a partner or donor they prefer. eugenics is awful, like many things, precisely when it occurs at a systemic level.
incredibly excited for AI agents to finally gain the capability to stop what they're doing at certain hours of the day, open up some porn in an incognito window, and context switch from clanker to cranker

@gonglei89 it has to be within the last decade if true. i got traveler's diarrhea entirely from tap water ten years ago; have had boiled or bottled water since with no issue. but if the issues are building-level and not municipal, it would surprise me if it's gotten quite so much better…
it's morbidly funny that i immediately clocked OP as not in the US, bc here an ambulance will eagerly transport you with a bruised knee so they can collect that $1500 bill
My Mum (84) asked my Dad to call her an ambulance. When it arrived the crew told my Mum it was anxiety and told them both off for phoning.
Later in the evening, hospital lab called GP re bloods, who had her blue lighted to hospital with kidney failure.
@korokje@JoeMerrick broken bookcase, damaged arched tiling, and arched-tiling fragment are all limited for sure. not sure about damaged wood flooring, damaged stone tiling, damaged square tiling. at least one of the rust blocks is found in dream islands. so are broken streetlights.
@JoeMerrick@korokje which rusted blocks don't respawn? is it the rusted iron-plate flooring? i know at least one of them spawns in clefairy and dragonite dream islands.
@HakureiRyan@HayaseMotors i don't think "wash the laundry" is something a native english speaker would say. you can dry the laundry, and you can wash (or do) a load of laundry. but "wash the laundry" sounds incorrect to me. could be regional.
@JoeMerrick how's it going with recipe locations? i'm curious abt the random recipe-spawn mechanics. i'm also curious where the glass window and levee recipes are 😭
delivery trucks and private vehicles get to share our very wide avenues and cross-streets; bike lanes are not so luxurious.
if doordash and amazon want to profit off of just-in-time delivery, they need to pay up and and invest in new or expanded infra for their private benefit.
i hugely support justice for delivery workers—but no conversation about the delivery ecosystem is complete without addressing the way amazon and doordash have hijacked transit infrastructure in this city for corporate profit.
Our administration doesn’t just stand with workers — we deliver for them.
We’ve already secured more than $5 million for delivery workers who were wrongfully deactivated, and we will keep fighting for the fair pay and dignity they deserve.
I was honored to welcome delivery workers to City Hall this week and hear directly from them about the challenges they face and the change they’re demanding.
this dissuades casual cyclists and pushes all bikers onto sidewalks or roads, making transit more dangerous and contentious.
just like transit riders, cyclists and pedestrians also deserve infrastructure that is free from corporate hijack.
