@McJunegrand @Rahll That's simply isn't true lol. Some people use them because it's good enough for them. That doesn't mean it suddenly magically covers all the industry's needs

@McJunegrand @Rahll It's more than just convenience. I can't use ligatures or adapt text to paths in csp. Blaming individuals when there are 30yrs of industry monopoly also plays out in adobe's favor. You don't like it? don't use it! Very convenient for them, and you're even doing their pr for them.

@McJunegrand @Rahll I'm an illustrator and while i love csp for example, as soon as I have to design anything it becomes hell and i get deep into issues that can get solved in 5mins with photoshop. I don't like it and i hate them as a corp but I get why people feel trapped

@McJunegrand @Rahll I'd say switching from unity might be easier as a comparison depending on what you're doing? Like, photoshop is still king when it comes to photo edition and manipulation and amongst photographs if i'm not mistaken? Photopea and co are not good enough to replace it yet

I'm seeing comics and tweets in #ComicsBrokeMe talking about why comics are Good and Cool, why they do it, why the job is awesome. That's cool, but look. That's not the point. Never was. #ComicsBrokeMe is explicitly about the physical toll working in this medium has on the body.

I don't regret any time where I took a nap, took a break, or took the night off. Do you know what I do regret? Staying up until 4 AM to work and getting up at 8:30 AM the next day to work some more. I regret working late and drinking to get through it. I regret skipping meals.

@meganroseruiz I noticed this as well yesterday while going on google images... Suddenly a lot of results were from websites with "prompts" in the name. Obviously AI. And it wasn't even to gather refs this time, I was just documenting myself on a topic I find interesting. It sours everything

Their voices were fed through an AI filter to change pitch and timbre.

Yet "AI" gets credit?

"AI" can't replace humans fully, but the marketing and tech WILL reduce the perceived value of human work and expression.

drawing comics is like learning a whole new level of art incompetency. Like it takes one panel where I have to draw someone getting into a chair from the side to make me stare at my hands and question my art skills

@CastIrony @JamieJones723 @McJesse @heykody @Adobe If I understood correctly, it can't get the rest of the fresque because it *doesn't understand* that this is the Creation Of Adam to begin with. To the AI, this is a bunch of noise, it is not a search engine so it can't identify and match things like google image would do it.
