From being a graduate of the @NotreDame to serving on its @AeroMechND Industry Advisory Board: full circle.
Focused discussions on preparing engineering students for industry: teamwork, ethics, continuous learning, and real-world impact. Giving back to a place that shaped me

#AIAASciTech 2026 starts soon! The Technical Discipline Chair of MVCE (Yves-Marie Lefebvre) and his Deputy (Mohammed Kamel) invite you to join our technical sessions at Bayhill 30 from Mon Jan 12 to Tue Jan 13. This year, we have joint sessions with APA, CFD2030, FD, MDO, NDA
@Jmendezcarvajal It really depends on the context. If it used to get global parameters like lift, drag or friction coefficient of simple flow configurations DES derivatives could be efficient. If it used for AI-Enhanced Turbulence Modeling, DNS
The largest full moon of 2025 over Revere Beach last night was incredible! My video doesn't capture how huge the Beaver Moon was. 🌕✨

While cleaning my desk, I found this printout of a deformed 2D mesh around a rotating airfoil, where the right choice of linear solver for finite-element method is crucial. Robust #Mesh#Morphing is achieved through almost one rotation cycle without any negative-volume cell.
Grateful for the memories, mentors, friends, and the challenges of tackling large-scale, multi-scale, multi-physics simulation and computational geometry — experiences that shaped my journey and lessons I’ll carry into every future endeavor.
