gentle reminder that if you’re not pro-choice and in support of safe, accessible abortion for all, you don’t support gender equality. sorry, but them’s the rules 🤷♀️
More than 99% of prairies in IL have been destroyed. Bell Bowl Prairie, one of the lucky few to survive, is to be turned into a road. A road which could be redesigned to simply not pave over the prairie.
Thousands of years of history to be needlessly converted into concrete.
you know what I really miss? wearing lipstick. there’s no point to wearing it now when my mouth is under a mask and it makes me sad. worth it to not breathe potential death and destruction on the rest of the world, but I still miss it
I’m 24. A lot of people my age haven’t had chickenpox, because the chickenpox vaccine came out in 1995. An anti-vaxxer at my daycare sent their kid in with chickenpox. I was too young to be vaccinated and got unbelievably sick. I had febrile seizures and legitimately nearly died.
All this is to say: your choice to vaccinate or not affects more than just you. You can say “It’s MY body!” all you want. But it isn’t just you that you’re protecting (or not.)
Get vaccinated. Vaccinate your fucking kids. Period.
The shitty decisions of parents who thought it was okay to send their unvaccinated, sick kids to school left me with scars I’ll have forever (and a lifelong susceptibility to developing shingles again! fun!) Their choices nearly killed me, then caused me weeks of severe pain.
