@unsullied713 @kadinsswitch Yep they told me the same thing. Really stupid. Luckily I happened to be at home and I had all the stuff necessary to jump/drive it in. Every Tesla owner should learn from this horror show because if you’re not prepared you’re left basically praying for a tow trucker in the know.

@jaywalker1418 @B_Richardson32 @unsullied713 I store it behind the front tow hook cover, the lil’ circle guy on the front bumper of the car. Fits fine and ready to re-trigger the frunk opening if I ever have another dead LV battery.

But the frameless window popped up 2in too high as the car thought the door was closed, and so when I closed the door the window broke. Car’s got some real bonehead issues

@B_Richardson32 @unsullied713 My point is more of as a Tesla owner PSA. It���s a dumb design that one should understand and prepare for: keep a 9V behind one’s tow hook cover & battery charger in one’s frunk.

@B_Richardson32 @unsullied713 As I previously mentioned, you can open the frunk with a 9V battery applied to the little wires behind the tow hook cover. Once you have access to frunk, use your frunk-stored bat charger for the LV bat. I keep a 9V in there & swap it out every so often for this express purpose.

@unsullied713 The exact same thing happened to me and it was the 12V, but luckily I was home. I was told that it’d need to be towed. Really annoying workaround that every owner should be prepared for

@unsullied713 Are you sure it’s not just the 12V? Open frunk by attaching a 9V battery to the little cord in the front tow hook. Open frunk; pull off underhood trim. The 12V is accessible from there. Charge. Drive to service station. I keep a 9V bat in tow hook & 12V charger in frunk now.

@ASm1thee @vibecodeguild @EudaimoniaEsq It has basically nothing to do with being a “morning person.” Most people have to get up and go to work/school etc in the morning, and it’s literally harder to do so if it’s pitch black because we’re collectively forcing ourselves to do everything an hour earlier.

Studies comparing the western end of a time zone (later sunrise, more akin to perm. DST) show higher rates of cancer, obesity, diabetes, sleep problems, etc. than the eastern end of its adjacent time zone (more akin to perm. Standard)

@Ishkabibble007 @realTK23 @RepGuthrie This is proposing year-round DST not year-round Standard though. I have to wake up early for work/kids/etc and it’s a lot harder to do so when we’re delaying sunrise by an hour.

@vaqueromoder @Yaanu @PaulSkallas I’m expressly NOT a morning person and that’s exactly why I don’t want permanent DST. I still have to get up early for work/school/camp and find it soo much harder to get up and be in the dark for hours vs the “normal” (winter) hours.
